    I think I’m still getting hum because I’m grounding the input of the effect but the effect is still on and feeding the inputs of the amp.

    That’s why I was thinking of adding the 2nd input to the switchblade and placing the switchblade right before the amp instead of before the last effect.

    Ok Ned. I simulated the suggested modification with some jumpers. It did greatly reduce the hum from the unused channel. However, because there is still a FX box on each amp input between the switchblade and the amp I still get hum from the fx boxes.

    So, I was thinking about adding a second input to the switchblade and wiring it like so:

    Swithblademod

    This way there is no FX on the unused amp input. Do you think this would work. I don’t have another jack to test.

    Not if B is grounded while you are using A, if its not you can easily make it so it does.
    If there is a pop you can solder in a pulldown resistor (1Meg should do) from input/output to ground.

    Yes I like to use 2 different Bass/mid/Trebble settings on each channel.
