CryabetesParticipant
use a service like flickr and then use the
Code: tagsCryabetesParticipantget a nice analog compressor for the output of your interface. really. This is from a synth guy.
CryabetesParticipantYou can drive a PA with it. It’s a very nice pre.
CryabetesParticipantQuote:Hi!
– About a possible update, for my loop market research, what would really make this my certain option (though its still the one i prefer so far) would be a pre-amp , phantom powered xlr input would make this machine the ultimate sexyness!!…so get an ART TubeMP & a 2880 and call it good?
CryabetesParticipantthat was awful fast.
CryabetesParticipantafter the OD (and move your tremolo to before the delay)
CryabetesParticipantswitch looks correct; not sure about the ribbon though – I don’t have one and can’t confirm/deny.
CryabetesParticipantOn the Pigtronix dual exp pedal, you’ve got a 20K pot where as EHX generally goes by the 10K pots of the M-Audio, Moog EP2, etc. That means either half or about 1/9th (depending on whether the exp pedal’s pot is linear or logarithmic) of the sweep is not usable, and the usable part is either going to be dead on for sweep, slow, or fast (depending on whether the STM is expecting linear/log, and the relationship to the expression pedal’s pot – if they’re both the same, it’ll be spot on, but if STM is linear and the pedal is logarithmic, it’ll be fast; reverse that and it’ll be slow.)
To boot, the TRS jack on the STM may not correspond to how the Ptronx exp pedal is set up, which either means adapter city or just a new expression pedal.
Welcome to the fun world of cussing about passive electronics. Are you handy with a soldering gun at all? a simple adapter could be made to halve the pot in the expression pedal and you wouldn’t need to take anything apart [just need an extra patch cable or a small enclosure and some jacks, really.]
CryabetesParticipantHave you tried contacting EHX customer support? These are fairly new and not many other users here have them yet.
CryabetesParticipantThe generic hong kong-ese cards I have are 50/50 for works or not (I resold the ones that didn’t work for it) [128mb]
The viking cards I’ve picked up work well [512mb]
The ehx generic works fine [1G]
and the kingston 2gb I had from a camera that has since broken didn’t work – it glitched, although not in a usuable way.CryabetesParticipantI haven’t, no, I found a rather good deal on a bulk lot of CF cards on ebay shortly after purchasing mine so I haven’t had to worry, but CF, SD, and microSD all use rather similar pin-outs; I haven’t heard of any glitching due to adapters.
CryabetesParticipantReplaced, no. Used a CF card to SD card adapter, that looks more feasible. You would want to make sure the SD card is under 2GB though, due to how the 2880 handles data.
CryabetesParticipantyeah. the XP300 is kind of my holy grail of digital processors that I have yet to track down. and I think it kept with the digitech tradition of not giving you much of anything other than a program list (with no real explanations) in the manual.
sorry to hijack the thread.
CryabetesParticipantany of those digitech multieffects have the xp300’s presets on them?
