just wanted to throw $.02 in about the Dano FAB echo- easily moddable into a complete beast of a delay, and under $20 new.
I got mine modded by this guy: http://stargazerfx.blogspot.com/2010/04/stargazer-fx-modded-fab-echo-2.html
incidentally, the max delay time is now a grainy-swooshy-awesome 6.3 seconds.

    @toonster
if you don’t listen to the deftones it isn’t normal; I didn’t load any album art for that one so wmp is probably just picking something from your library.
    Glad you liked the track.

DOD FX35B’s do this and sell for under $40 on ebay. Don’t see the point in buying new unless you’re trying to run an all EHX board.

I do the multiple flash cards + computer backups thing.

Which, in turn, is great for sequencing my stuff and saving back-ups.

But yeah. No built in memory for multiple loops a la the boss models. kind of a small bummer, kind of a small blessing (less things that can break = less things that will break)

actually, just a side note, but with the Alesis ModFX tap tempo, the rate knob acts as a multiplier (from half notes relative to LFO to 32nd notes). I use mine with a synth but you probably want something a bit more foot-controllable for bass guitar.

oh for sure. I was a very annoying David Gilmour when I first got it.

I would buy this (currently imaginary) pedal.

I was reluctant to take it off of my guitar board because it sounds so good but the band i’m with plays reggae and really, the out-of-control dub sounds are sooooo gooood on it. Just wish I had another.
(i’m using it on the piano and organ in this song: http://www.last.fm/music/Sam+Binder/Dub+Love+Single/Dub+Love , if you’re interested in how it can be used both obnoxiously and tastefully.)

yeah, i’ve been trying for about six months to win a Philtre or Bitrman but ebay is not working with me. Also been trying to get through Alesis’s customer service department to see if they have any of the Fidelity X or Formantz units from prototyping but again, no luck.

board I use for my synth.
want to replace the digitech bass synth wah with a microsynth (or just add a microsynth)

more or less how Mesa got the Mesa sound too- guy designed an amplifier but put a bunch of preamps in series, had them all cranked up but forgot to turn the standby off, flipped it on and was annihilated by feedback.

you couldn’t use an inverting adapter for a nano clone (one that makes yamaha style keyboards useable via 1spots?)

well that is a good idea but wouldn’t velcro and glue kind of ruin the bassballs?

    yes but zip ties don’t.

looks really nice. you could add another BB/nano/compact sized pedal if you mounted your tuner on top of your bassballs.
