nope. vibrato can blend in dry signals too. flange is also in the same camp but it has a quicker delay time (generally around 14-20ms).

vibrato is just a fast chorus. so I guess EHX just came out with a nano “vibrato” pedal, via the Neo Clone.

Can you connect a third-party footswitch to the 2880 (say, the Behringer FCB1010) through MIDI? If not, are there other footswitches that have more buttons than the EHX one that connect via 1/4 inch? The 2880 does so many more things than six buttons can provide.
Also, I want to use the 2880 live more, which it would be really good at seeing as it has four tracks, the mixdown, panning, octave, reverse, etc. However, I need a way to be able to mute or play different tracks from a footswitch. If I had 4 loops recorded but wanted to just play 1, then play 1 and 3, then play 2, could I do this? If so, how? If I were using my hands I’d just play everything and lower the faders on the tracks I didn’t want playing, but how could I do this with a footswitch? The FCB1010, as well as having a plethora of switches, has two expression pedals, if that is of any use.

    no dice on the fs.
yeah the 2880 can’t do the loop swapping (play 1, then 1+3, then 2). you can mute tracks, kind of- just build a mute pedal (or, if you have an extra distortion pedal laying around, set everything to 0 and use that) and use the panning to control which output each loop goes to, recombine them later.
also if you’re good with playing without shoes, it’s pretty easy to adjust the sliders with your feet (freeing up your hands).

what you’re describing with the FCB1010, you might almost be better off using ableton as a looper.

i think there is a clavichord [the instrument in question, in case you’re wondering] sound in one of the effectology videos. I know a lot of that sound is based on the envelope filters that are inherent in a clavichord. honestly, selling your ME70 and buying a Riddle would be your best bet to nail this sound- i really don’t think the ME70, as awesome as it is, can get it.

if you mean delete a loop on a track, you select that track, put the fader at zero, hit record and don’t play anything for one loop-phrase.
if you mean just start a new track (all four loops new), blank, hit the new song button.

you don’t have to delete the loops after you play, you can let them sit on the CF card, it won’t hurt anything.

House of Guitars is totally Irondequoit. if you ever get a chance to check out their studio, do it. It’s pretty damn impressive.
and no, i’m not performing, i’m in an LDR with a girl in Rochester, which is why i’m headed out there.

the black ones were the last russian ones, made in the mid to late 90s? i’m probably thinking a little early with that, someone will correct me. still, great find, especially at the price.

are you in NYC? or a different part of new york? (i ask because i’m headed to rochester on aug 7ish)

Closest dream i’ve had to that was where Stuart Braithwaite autographed my Fabtone. I then told him about it via twitter and he said I needed to get better dreams.

    Bill-
I use rubber clerk’s thimbles between my strings at the bridge to get a “fretless/upright” sound- would these interfere with the HOG’s tracking at all?

+1 on punkifier love. only pedal that gets so loud it feedsback when i record direct in + headphones.
one thing to note- when you power up a DOD pedal, the effect starts as ‘on’. you might be better off using a bypass box than re-housing it. you wouldn’t even need to touch the DOD’s switch.

changing the housing or adding a mechanical switch would be tough on a DOD pedal- the circuit board is beneath the stomp-pad, as opposed to the battery housing like on a boss stompbox.

i think the info you’re looking for is on Generalguitargadget’s big muff page- it’s just a couple different components between different versions, but it makes all the difference.
