CryabetesParticipant
have you tried plugging your headphones in to the line out? maybe get one of those Left-Right TS to TRS female adapters or a two input headphone amp or something; it almost sounds like it’s just the headphone pre going.
CryabetesParticipantI wonder what’s going to happen when someone buys the Akai “analog” delay, discovers it’s a very poorly setup pt329x chip, and wants their money back. the biyang one was terrible.
CryabetesParticipantprobably more in place of the Hog than the microsynth.
CryabetesParticipantyeah it’s probably their frequency analyzer is busted and they need ron to sort them out with a new power supply or summat

and yes. this is a terrific idea.CryabetesParticipantQuote:How about a nano switcher?I don’t see any reason why they can’t put a hazarai knob and a footswitch in a nano box and have it send the HOG the same messages.
sheeeeeeeeeiiit and make it compatible with the other hazarai-preset based pieces? talking pedal, cathedral, pog2, smmwh, etc?
CryabetesParticipantStereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai much?
February 15, 2011 at 2:17 pm in reply to: 2880: Loading WAVs onto the CF card – playback super slowdown? #114322CryabetesParticipantWhat program did you guys use to make the .wav files? I know Acidpro 5 [the one I use] puts tempo metadata in its files. Is the 2880 reading something like that and overriding the .txt file?
CryabetesParticipantQuote:On the literature I got with my 22 Caliber it says it’ll work with 4-16 ohms, but not reliably at 4ohms… break up problems and all.in the video when the .22 first came out, didn’t mike say it could drive 1Mohms? anyone ever try running it into a pedal at all? did it just predictably ruin the pedal?
February 15, 2011 at 2:05 pm in reply to: Best way to patch in my Small Stone V4 reissue with Synth/line outputs #114319CryabetesParticipantI don’t use a smallstone with my synth but I do use plenty of other pedals/”guitarists toys”. I use a Juno-D and keep the volume at half run it into some pedals, and then my mixer [with its fx routing] and the mixer controls the overall output volume.
The high level shouldn’t do any damage; it’s really not that different than sending a super-high-gain guitar signal into it.
I’ve used the Boss LS-2 as a line buffer/bypasser before and it’s not a bad pedal. for the smallstone, I don’t think a DI or anything would really be necessary for it.
My advice would be to not consider your keyboard’s volume your over-all volume. if you’re using it in an effects array, your volume on the JP8000 is the ‘send’ volume to the rest of the array, and if you want an overall volume, you’ll need to get a LPB-1 or a mixer or something and pop it on the end of the chain.
CryabetesParticipantI don’t have the midi implementation chart, but the midi is for more than just the master clock. it’ll receive start/stop info and I THINK you can set it up for external control using the sliders [you know, if you want to drop $400 on a six-slider midi controller]. Your best bet would be to check the manual either online or when you get it.
CryabetesParticipantactually with a mute pedal in the FX loop, you’d essentially be turning off the effect solely with that; if it were a volume pedal, you could fade in the repeats and keep them at the level you want with that.
Don’t get me wrong, having control over every parameter isn’t for everyone- some people just want a simple sound.CryabetesParticipanti’m assuming you’re in the US for this; if not, disregard.
just a quick shipping pro-tip [because i’ve seen people send stuff via Registered Mail, paying an arm and a leg]- Send it priority mail, and if it fits perfectly in one of the flat rate boxes [with packaging], use that. Just be sure to ask for a tracking number when you bring it to the post office [they’re free for priority mail]. best of luck with your return [from a fellow Cocteau Twins fan]
Sam
CryabetesParticipanthave you tried putting a volume pedal or other muting device [ie, distortion pedal with everything set to ‘0’] in the fx loop? that should kill the repeats, as long as its muting for as long as the delay time.
CryabetesParticipantvelcro + small keyboard stand works well for me. or maybe just C-clamp it to your guitar.
