they could probably make some of this on a firmware update. And the preset thing…. all someone would have to do is rehouse it….

aside from more MIDI control and maybe an effects loop or assignable outputs, what else could you add to the HOG? It’s a pretty comprehensive pedal.

Not off the top of my head. Maybe one of the people around here that has one can scan it for you.

sounds like something Alesis would’ve put out between 1998 and 2004.

pretty sure it’s about the same difference as an Echoflanger and a Polyflange; it’s the same control.
Difference being they’re clarifying on the new ones that it’s not some other LFO’s rate. It’s the sweep LFO’s rate.

    well
considering the circuit hasn’t changed to our knowledge with the new one
the manual should be pretty much identical, or at least close enough to get you to where you want to be soundwise.
just remember the sweep filter is a sliding switch on yours.
Is there any specific info you wanted about the pedal?

+1. maybe use a 9-pin serial jack on the top or side of the pedal. make them respond to program changes, cc value changes. then put out a CC value sequencer.

Thanks – it’s just that not every effect is available in a God forsaken hole I happen to live in…But thanks…

if the good lord had intended for us to shop locally, he wouldn’t have made ebay. :D

also, most of these pedal are in about the $90 range or up used.
For that same price, you could get a Korg Electribe EA-1 and use the audio in to remodulate the delays against a synth sequence, which could be very interesting.

no problem. I’m on fb if you want to friend me and talk about music or whatever. Sorry it didn’t work out for you.

ps- you may want to look into the Looperlative if you need a little more computer based solution and Live isn’t cutting it.

I’ve had nothing but shit luck with Behringer pedals- a rusty small stone clone [it was NIB when I bought it], a big muff clone whose incline caused the really loose pots to rotate on their own, a tremolo whose clock produced an audible overtone, and a L6 echo park clone that has never powered up (and I still haven’t figured out why). So uh I’m gonna vote stay away from them?
A Boss PS-2 or HR-2 would get what you’re looking for, as well as some zcat pedals.
Otherwise, there’s always effectsdatabase.com to dig through.

nice! and yeah, a ‘clean’ pedal on all the time gets rid of the high impedance issues. I use a Cusack Screamer because it doesn’t sound like anything with the dirt down.
and yeah Rats are awesome for overdriving amps; I figured with the influences that you were going for and a bit of research into the BB Pre that using the RAT as a different flavor and the BB as a clean boost made more sense, but really, they’re interchangable in that setup.

I’m hoping that’d be fixed with the 2.0 software.
and I never use my usb , so yeah i’m guessing the crashing is because the computer is trying to read the files that the 2880 is reading and they’re getting in eachothers way.

So far as I know, you have to have all five .wav files and the tempo filled to load stuff in.
