I live Fender Free.
I used to play a Fender P-Bass, but swapped it out for an Epiphone Thunderbird because I like the ‘birds neck and tone better. Nothing sounds close to the pickups used on a Thunderbird.
On the guitar front, I’ve never really liked the neck or bridge feel of any of the Fenders I have played (and I have short fingers), thus I play a Gibson Flying V and a Ephiphone Casino and love them both.
I guess that makes me a Gibson guy, though I would love a Gretsch or a PRS.
Mine are:
• ’05 Gibson Flying V – Cherry
• ’08 Epiphone Casino (China) – Sun Burst Finish
• ’07 Epiphone Thunderbird – Pehlam Blue.
The bottom is a bass, but I figure it counts.
I love them for their own reasons. I play them all about equally, though lately the Casino is getting a bit more attention because it’s the newest (and the insane squeal the Casino (fully hollow w/ P90s) creates with a Big Muff).
