CostchParticipantQuote:silly question I’m sure, but what’s the difference between ‘no preference’ and ‘both’ I don’t really have a preference as such, if it sounds cool and does what I want it to, I’m not bothered either way…..actually is it possible to prefer both? a preference is liking one over the other isn’t it?
By both, I meant that you can appreciate what both sides have to offer, and by no preference, I meant you don’t care if your pedals are analog or digital, regardless of type of effect. I guess it is kind of vague, but it made sense inside of my head.
CostchParticipantNobody must care ’bout the SEM… Oh well, I don’t either.
CostchParticipantQuote:Thurston said it is going to have a mix of a Black Metal and Wipers influence.Black Metal influenced Sonic Youth? I wanna hear it even more now…
CostchParticipantAlright!

CostchParticipantHere’s some of my others:
Alice in Chains, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath, The Clash, David Bowie, Dead Kennedys, The Doors, The Greenhornes, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Kyuss, Meat Puppets, Melvins, Mudhoney, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Primus, Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sex Pistols, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, The White Stripes, The Who
Sonic Youth’s new album The Eternal is supposed to come out sometime this spring. It’s gonna rule!

as for big bucks? the ones everyone wants Big Muff, DMM…..
Is the current Big Muff Pi going to have any inflated value? (not that I ever plan on selling mine) Or will people 20 years from now still want the 70’s models?
CostchParticipantIf you don’t want the CD to be deleted off of your iPod when you delete it from your computer, you just have to go to the iPod tab in iTunes when it’s plugged in, and check the “manualy manage music and videos” box. That should take care of it.
CostchParticipantQuote:Is that a Starcaster chorus? I’ve seen those things at Target, so I’m understandably skeptical of it’s tone.
CostchParticipantQuote:So I snagged a Russian Bassballs for 12 dollars. I don’t really want or need it, but I couldn’t pass it up. No idea where it will go on my board though….That’s awesome! Where did you get it? I’ll buy it from you if you don’t want it…
CostchParticipantQuote:While everyone is talking about fuzz, what does everyone think of the Z.VEX Fuzz Probe? I’ve seen a lot demos of this on youtube and it seems pretty cool. It’s sort of expensive but i’d get it.Zvex seems to think that being hand-painted and made in the USA justifies an aproximate $150 raise in price.
CostchParticipantQuote:I think I sould open my own store. That’s a good idea :metal:. I would shop there.
CostchParticipantQuote:The black Sovtek can easily be modded to green Sovtek specs. From what I’ve read, it seems that the black’s components and craftsmen ship are superior to the green’s. So unless, its the aesthetics that you want, go with the black one.Yeah I heard that you have to change the values of some transistors or something like that. I’m not really good with circuits or anything, so I might mess something up. And I could always just spray paint the box Olive Drab.
CostchParticipantQuote:Well the double muff is a completely different monster than a big muff, totally different circuit.I think the Bass Big Muff takes inspiration from the Russian and the Green. I like it a lot. Also having three modes is really nice because you can get a lot of different sounds out of it. The Bass Big Muff stacks very nicely with other dirt pedals because it has that clean blend. Personally I’ve played both the black and green, and I like them both (especially the green) but I’d go with the Bass Big Muff- it is much cheaper than green muff, sounds great, and is very flexible.
Cool, thanks man. If only Guitar Center (the only place within a reasonable distance from my house that has a somewhat decent selection of effects) would ever have one in stock, I could try it out through a 25w solid state combo and a greasy Gibson that hundreds of young children have felt up.
CostchParticipantQuote:Somebody’s going to ask this so it may as well be me. What is the Altoid’s tin for?
