companymanParticipant
love my Flanger Hoax, I haven’t added any of my settings to the HCFX thread in a while, I’ll have to add some soon.
companymanParticipantthis interesting, I have a Double Muff and love it, but I have never tried this. So the Muff 2 will add gain to single muff mode?
August 14, 2010 at 12:20 am in reply to: Anyone played through a Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi yet? #110867companymanParticipantdoes the Germanium Big Muff run on standard 9 volt’s, or does it have a specific wall wart power supply? I have a Furman powered pedalboard and it has 9 volt 100 ma, will this work with it?
companymanParticipantupdate. I decided to put the maestro back on, I am loving it! After a set-up the tuning is pretty stable…loving it.
companymanParticipantI love my ’63 reissue Epi Firebird VII, the mini-humbuckers are low output and sound so good, I had to pull the maestro off, tuning is very important to me!
companymanParticipantI am going to try some Tungsols and some JJ’s in my Black Finger tomorrow.

companymanParticipantAmpeg Superjet, EL34 version 50 watts, Tremolo and reverb and a
Vox Pathfinder, 15 watts solid state, Tremolo and reverb run in stereo.companymanParticipantQuote:Company Man I got to say I have all of these pedals and I can’t really figure it out how you did. Really great impressive sounds. I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of Gil Melle’s Andromeda Strain Soundtrack. It was one of the first electronic soundtracks ever used. Also came in a hexagon packaging. Thanks man! I find that very small movements of the knobs on the Flanger Hoax reap huge results, I know the film Andromeda Strain, and love it, but haven’t listened to the soundtrack aside from seeing the film, I’ll look for it. Rock on!
companymanParticipantQuote:I love it!
BillQuote:here are some very Minimalist oscillations from the Flanger Hoax manipulated with a Memory Boy and a Stereo Pulsar. The were inspired by the Stanley Kubrick film 2001;A Space Odyssey . You can click on my pics to see some of my Paintings as well, I hope you enjoy the subtlety and grandeur of the Flanger Hoax.wow, thanks Bill, I am so flattered by your compliment, you are a master at guitar manipulations! I am beaming!

companymanParticipantI dig the Tube Zipper, I’ve been using it as my main dirt pedal. The envelope can be brought very subtly into the signal…I use just barely enough to be noticeable, it adds an expressiveness to pick attack that I’ve never heard in another pedal.
companymanParticipanttoo much circuitry in there to XO , I suspect. The Flanger Hoax is my favorite pedal these days, it can do so much, both tame and insane! :thumb:
companymanParticipantI have recently changed my rig drastically, from a Les Paul into an Orange R-30 a very dark sounding rig that I was always trying to wring more treble out of, to a fantastic Epiphone Firebird VII with 3 mini-humbuckers into a vintage Musicman RD-50 amp a markedly brighter sound from both guitar and amp. I struggled with too much treble for a while, but when I dialed the eq in with the treble rolled off it effected the gain structure and presence too much. After dialing in my Black Finger compressor I found the rig sounded best on the bright channel with the treble rolled nearly all the way down and the bass on 8….a nice balance now.
companymanParticipantI am going to be spending most of my “Forum Time” here now, I love EHX and HCFX 2.0 blows….I like the atmosphere around here better anyway.
