So Puretube says the first 5 production Pedals were called Tube Maze?
companymanParticipantSorry I don’t have pics, but yes it looks just like that one. It is in the wood box(says Tube Maze on the screen on the box as well) and has a silkscreen on the side of the pedal also.
companymanParticipantI have a Tube Zipper that came in the wooden box that says Tube Maze on it, also has the screen on the side of the pedal. Is this different than other’s?
companymanParticipantPut a compressor before the Microsynth, I use a Pigtronix Philosophers Tone and it will sustain nearly forever.
companymanParticipantNo the opposite, I set mine at about 11:00 for unity gain, by which I mean the volume is even when the pedal is switched on and off. If you use the Pulsar with 2 amps the volume drop is less noticeable and sounds amazing!
companymanParticipantI love my Pulsar but there is a perceived volume drop. It is less evident with the depth lower than 11:00. If you use a clean boost or eq pedal after the Pulsar to boost the signal should remedy the issue.
companymanParticipantOh wow I didn’t think it was that old! Awesome thanks Ron!
companymanParticipantI have an older big box Microsynth and it has a trim-pot on the bottom of the pedal that adjusts input gain, not sure if the XO versions do or not though….
companymanParticipantthat is a cool mod, but what I’m looking for is a mod to extend the range of the pitchshifter to +1/-1 octaves.
companymanParticipantI have just learned that I have to use my guitars volume knob more when using the Memory Boy, the sound is wonderful, but the volume jump is troublesome during performance. You just have to find the spot on the guitars volume pot where unity gain is.
companymanParticipantfor more gain, before the OD, for more overall volume after the delay.
companymanParticipantrather then mess around, I returned it and a new one will be here in about a week. I had a Memory Boy before, and sold it for financial reasons. I love this pedal and had to get another, the vibrato is the coolest thing I have found to a Deluxe Memory Man.
companymanParticipantyeah, I figured that, it was the last one the shop had…crap. Guess I’ll have to wait for another one.
companymanParticipantis the Pulse Modulator related to the Pulsar circuit? I would love to get my hands on one those!
companymanParticipantthere is a ground screw between the two tubes, try tightening it a bit, this got rid of that problem with mine.
