    Well, my previous responses are now horribly outdated. I’m in a much better band at the moment, we do essentially do whatever seems like a good idea at the time. We have on tune recorded, but we’re going to record an EP within a month or two. And for the record, our singer is white as hell. ;)

    So, the process would look like:
    Bass In-Pitch Detection-Bass Out
    With the output of the pitch detection being Midi?

    You are aware that
    a) This would almost certainly be monophonic. (The string sound wouldn’t, but you couldn’t play a chord on the bass)
    b) It would require substantial tweaking of the synth to get an acceptable sound.

    I don’t think a circuit in a nano body would be able to overcome these limitations, but the POG can do almost perfect polyphonic tracking, so there may be hope for you.

    What I would recommend, however, is shelling out a hundred odd dollars for a Roland MIDI pickup. That way, you can plug directly into your synth.

    I’m a big fan of Morleys, especially followed by some dirt.

    (Sorry for the double post, but…)

    Bassballs->MicroPOG->Muff->Small Stone->DMM

    Perfect for funk/trippiness.

    Nice idea with the Hot Foot. It would be amazing if you could do that with the Tube Zipper…

    Thanks, that was helpful. What kind of keyboards did you have in this? Curiosity, you know.

    That is a REALLY kickass rig. Do you just leave on setting on the HOG, or do you do inter-song tweaking? I can imagine the combination of the distortion, micro synth and HOG could provide some pretty versatile combinations, even just if you just left one setting on each pedal.

    The best guitar ever: Really dark red Jag with a Sustaniac in the neck and a ’59 in the bridge. Internal signal chain would be pickups->Big Muff->Small Stone->Killswitch->Carbon Copy.

    So, that would be 4 way pickup arm (bridge, neck without sustain, neck with basic sustain, neck with harmonic sustain), tone and volume (corresponding to the Big Muff), Sustain push/pull knob (Big Muff sustain and i/o), Rate push pull knob (same for the SS), and 3 knobs for the Carbon Copy. So a total of one arm, seven knobs, and a button. Hmm, maybe…
