ChumleyParticipant
Hear hear. Or maybe that Big Muff in a feedback loop I’ve been nagging you guys about for a while…
June 6, 2009 at 12:57 am in reply to: Effectology, Vol. 1: Electric Guitar plays Blues Harmonica #97428ChumleyParticipantThanks so much, man. It’s really appreiciated.
Would you mind making future clips a bit longer, by the way? I love the sounds you’re making, and it’s a shame they end so quickly.
ChumleyParticipantAwrite guys, scan & post, scan & post. All we’re looking for are pictures, short descriptions, and prices.
ChumleyParticipantCathedral and V256 fill me with immense hope…
Hopefully, the V256 can be used for live autotuning, plus other vocoder sounds…
I REALLY hope it’s more affordable than the voice box, however.
ChumleyParticipantSay, Dawson, how do the Behringer Vintage series stack up to the real things?
ChumleyParticipantWow. That’s really good… add an eBow line! That’d be even cooler.
May 20, 2009 at 12:35 am in reply to: Thinking of getting a new guitar… I have a bit of a dilemma #96855ChumleyParticipantGo for it!
ChumleyParticipantNice. I was gonna recommend a DBA Fuzz Gun, but you seem to have your bases pretty well covered.
ChumleyParticipantWhat’d be awesome would be EHX’s entry into the Death By Audio/Red Witch/ZVex freak-out fuzz market. I think you guys could do it MUCH cheaper.
ChumleyParticipantTuner w/ Hazarai.
It’d be like the perfect all in one pedal to put at the beginning of your signal chain: a combination tuner, three band EQ, and booster/buffer. I’d buy that in two seconds.
ChumleyParticipantHey, it was just a suggestion. If you really want PERFECT synth tracking, midi pickups are the only way to go. And trust me, they don’t interfere with tone at all. But, since you’re obviously not open to that, don’t take my word for it.
The reference to the POG was merely that the requisite technology exists. I wasn’t suggesting one.
What I’d suggest you do is do some research yourself.
Of course, the best and most baddass way around the problem is to do a Geddy Lee and play bass and keys at the same time.
ChumleyParticipantI don’t think it would be incredibly difficult to remount the DEM into a smaller die-cast chassis yourself.
ChumleyParticipant*Pokes Costch* Or you could get an expression pedal for a Worm. Or a Polyphase. Or go vintage. You ain’t without options.
Personally, I can’t wait. Analog delay is my favorite effect ever, and I REALLY don’t like MXR. Bad vibes. So lets hope that the Memory Boy is affordable…
ChumleyParticipantA resonant filter would probably do some good, but it would be hard without hexophonic pickups to properly duplicate a sitar, at least with the filter approach. Or, you could just go monophonic analog goodness.
Also: CGCGCC=Win.
ChumleyParticipantYou have a movie to watch, my friend.
And yes, this is a great idea and EHX could nail it.
