Thanks guys. Going to try it this weekend.
How can you test the output of the signal?

never used an adat, but are you using amp modeling on your computer?

I’m sort of new to the Hum Debugger – in my research I’ve heard both sides of the story; some people claim it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread while others loathe the thing.

Here’s my issue – I’ve got a Fender Black Dove P-90 Telecaster and I’m pretty sure the soapbars are designed to accomodate Fender spacing. I really like the sound but cannot stand the hum; there does not seem to be any suitable noiseless P-90 alternative, much less one for Fender spacing.

I don’t play anything too gainy – my ampliers are a Fender Vibro King and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (never use the gain channels – it’s set clean). The heaviest distortion I’d consider using is a Proco Rat or Wampler Pinnacle 2; fuzzwise, probably a Keeley Fuzzhead.

Will the Hum Debugger work and save me the trouble of having $300 pickups made for my Tele? Or will I be stuck with the dreaded “coloring” or “reverb effect” on my tone?

take your guitar and amp to the music store and try it,

I would be using it after my distortion and overdrive pedals…can it just boost the signal for lead work? Thanks in advance. :)

i think that is the point of this pedal.

well testing with the electro distortion, since it has no other controls (it looks just like the diagram)

i tried to rewire to make it look like the diagram and it still dont work.

but i do get an effected signal if i run an extra wire from sleeve to sleeve ground on the jacks, and if i touch the sleeve and ring together with my finger on the input, but strangely it wont work at all if i hard wire it?!?!?!

do you have a multimeter? double check all connections and contacts.

The batteries with the cat on them fade too. Try them on a compressor pedal.

It depends on choice but must people would run it like this IMO

BOSS Volume Pedal/Expression Pedal, Classic Cry-Baby Wah (volume/wahs)
    HOG (octave)
    Big Muff (distortion)
Small Stone, Danelectro Chicken Salad Tremolo (pitch-modulation, you could put the HOG Here too)
    Deluxe Memory Man (delay)
    Cathedral Reverb (reverb)
