Well,DarkAxel, once one is hooked on EHX it is usually permanent.

that’s what happen to me…I have to admit it: I’m an EHX addict haha.

OMG! the Deluxe Memory Boy is exactly what I was missing with my XO Deluxe Memory Man!

I need a tap-tempo but I want to keep the warm analog lush of my DMM.

At least I can get a good price for my DMM when the time comes for a swap…hehe!

And plus, I still have my expression pedal I used with my HolyStain I’ve sold…another good reason to keep it.

    can’t to ear the reviews!

a nice decent clean channel tube amp would be better than any modeling stuff if you want the warm of tubes.

and you would get all the sound you like from your pedals.

the modeling is good for headphone or computer practice imo. and it’s easy to carry…that’s it.

I use that at home. but I prefer playing loud on my Sunn amps way better!

it might the same as a BOSS Noise Supressor NS-2.

so the loop is for your pedal chain:

send to the 1st pedal input and last pedal output in the return.

you can let reverb and delay out of the loop, at the output of the noise supressor.

input is for your guitar and the output goes to the amp.

or you could use it just in front of a pedal chain with maybe a tuner in front of it and the rest of the chain at the output.

    hope it helps.

I had to find a way to use both of my Big Muff with one amp for a gig.

So I tried the BMPiTW in front of the BBMPi in dry mode.

It’s nice, you can start with the BBMPi for a darker and lower fuzz mix with clean and then swap the clean signal with the BMPiTW full blast tone…not bad.

hmm, you make me wanna try a soul preacher…even with the big muff…sometimes I play clean but I would have to find the right setting so I can leave it on.

I’m also going to retry my LPB-1.

it works okay at home but my M-Audio Audio Buddy preamp are too sensitive for it, it won’t go pass 9 o’clock on inst input…overlaod the soundcard? I even have to lower my guitar volume…

It might be different on my amps?

the best analog delay out there is the DMM imo but it’s a bit too expensive.

I never had a chance to compare it with the Boy or Toy but it’s suppose to be similar because they’re analog delays too.

I would give the Toy a try for a subtle delay sound, it even has the chorus modulation wich I use on my DMM but just slitly. it hads to the lush of the repeats…

It’s cheap and save lots of space on a board…I might pick one up soon if I ever need to make some space for a POG2…

I’ve got the #1 Echo, however I find it lacks from not having a way to control the tempo, other than turning the delay rate knob, which is a pain live, especially when you want it to match the tempo of the song you’re on. I’m of the opinion that any digital delay should always have a tap tempo. The Stereo MM w/ Hazarai has a tap tempo. I’m picking one up soon to replace my #1 Echo, although I will be keeping the #1 Echo, because despite my complaints, it is excellent and sounds great and I’ll keep it anyway. I bet it would be fun to use it after the SMMw/H to double up on delays..
Would that work? Have a delay pedal delaying a delayed signal? Bet you could get some wacky stuff going on.

yeah, I would try to warm-up the digital delay with a analog delay…or the other way around.

I still have my Boss DD-3 and I’m not going to get rid of it. It’s actually my only pedal I nerver got rid of…!

haha, I know, I have a recording of it with 2 mics that were taking the room, it’s not as good as a real close mic but I always end-up doing the soundman as being the artist…! so I had really no time to close mic everything…it’s better than a cheap camera mic!

but I can record some clips at home in Reaper using Amplitube plug-ins…good for showing of the pedal features not the amps…

and soon or later I’m going to record with the amps and good mics, it’s just a matter of time.

lower the feedback and/or level to lower the distorsion, but an analog will always add that little color on the repeats…it’s part of the warmer sound I guess.

    a digital delay won’t.

I’ve notice it can also be sensitive to guitar volume…try lowering that…

mine I have to lower the blend and level at around 11′ to keep the overall volume steady, it gives a little boost.

BMPTW is a good start and can cover many fuzz tone if you like Fuzz.

a compressor is good for a clean tone imo.

there’s no need to compress an already distorted and compress signal.

The small clone is a good and simple chorus.

I also have a LPB-1, but it just makes my Muff’s sound muddier for now.

I think it’s better use to boost the drive of an amp without a fuzz or distorsion pedal…

i like the memory boy the most out of the choices so i’d get that.

yeah and you can control it with an expression pedal…

or for simple use, I think the memory toy looks good and compare better to your other choices and should be warmer than a digital delay…but that’s a matter of taste.

from the demos i’ve seen i have a feeling that it sounds too digital and very un-natural… so what’s your opinion? how it sounds for real?

looking forward to the clips! :)

if you tweek it properly it will sound warm and natural.

but it can also be extreme and un-natural…

I like the concept of keeping my holy settings in memory.

One thing, I’ve notice, the left and right line are not completly seperate so I can’t put my Bass Big Muff on left and my Big Muff Wicker on right like I had planned…but the Stereo landscaping is amazing!

That’s why I will soon use 3 amps. one for Bass, and 2 for each stereo side…!

    clips soon to come…
