chevParticipant
hey it’s been a long time.
thanks man.
it’s funny I don’t use the Cathedral much lately…since I’m building a straight forward sludge metal project…just some good dirt on 2 amps and even a more dark black metal project…I find it easier for me and my drummer to work with dry signal…and add the reverb after…so I can ear myself better…it’s sometimes a lot different from my DAW to my amps…
But I’m keeping the Cathedral for some drone project or noise…or some more ambiant intro…even thinking of splitting my board in 2 mini pedal train.
one for basic dirt and amps and another one for noise and drones so I can bring it home to work on my DAW…anyways I’m not willing to get rid of it. I’ve played enough with it to see the load of potential…!

I can’t wait to ear how it sounds!
chevParticipantQuote:I’d say use SP > LPB > amp otherwise the SP will pretty much cancel out the effect of the LPBok yes I see, thanks for the info.
for now I’m investing on a pair of hotter pick-ups maybe that will throw out the LPB-1 because of the extra boost…? but SP would be good to control the range of the attack but would that screw the enveloppe filter of the Graphic Fuzz!? because I use it a lot. perhaps the SP would be good only on clean without the GF?
thanks!
chevParticipantQuote:oh yeah cool board, I should find some led lights for my board…specially for drone shows…!
chevParticipantIt’s my next EHX…I would use it with the LPB-1.
just don’t know in which order yet? LPB-1 in front or SP?
thanks for the review.
Is there more reviews of the SP with Big Muff TW, Graphic Fuzz or Bass Big Muff that’s what I would use it with…
chevParticipantQuote:Hey man, that’s sounds really nice and relaxing to me:-)thanks, glad you like it.
chevParticipantQuote:Quote:oh yeah, and i dont think i would find it fully necessary if at all to have the bass big muff pi. and why would you rather have a holy grail instead of a cathedral? and change the boss tuner to a polytune. and i noticed your graphic fuzz is really scratched upI don’t see myself using all the modes, knobs, and infinities of the cathedral on an useful way. I like the simplicity of the hg. And well, there are some $ in between as well. I would change both muffs for a double muff and my russian bmp.
yeah I now use the Stereo outputs of the Cathedral for 2 amps…
I play on 3 amps and each one has his dirt pedal!
I re-setup the order a lot so the GF his first on the right line and blended with with the Big Muff TW at the end on the left line with the Cathedral…I even have a schematics program to design my signal path…the Bass Big Muff his alone straigt to a bass amp for low end growl…
The GF was bought used so it’s scratch but working fine!
chevParticipantI use the LPB-1 in front of the Bass Big Muff (bass boost settings) sounds awesome!
I use the Graphic Fuzz as overdrive on a seperate line and the Big Muff Pi Tone Wicker sound way better after it then in front…in front, it’s just over-saturated…
chevParticipantQuote:thts aweosmecould you share your settings with the pog2 and deluxe memory man please ?
sorry for the late reply! I didn’t get an email notice?
Ok so for the exact settings I can’t remember exactly.
But I use the POG2 with all settings engage to produce an organ sound, didn’t put too much 2nd octave up to get a more mellow and darker organ sound.
Cathedral in Echo mode
Deluxe Memory Man with a 1 o’clock delay
I have both output of the Cathedral in stereo and a third output in mono coming from the Big Muff Bass, but un-engaged in this clip.
chevParticipantQuote:chev – great as always!!!thanks, I have a new drone I did lately on my myspace…if you’re interested
ok here’s the direct link:

I now have the help of Logic on my new Mac to modified my EHX guitar noises…opens new doors to experiment…!
will soon record a drone with the POG2!
chevParticipantQuote:that’s a fully loaded pedaltrain pro!!! it overflows from everywhere haha!
must be a good drone or showgaze kit!?
chevParticipantmy upgraded pedal board…POG2 and a pedal train pro to make my life much easier…hidden PP2+ and wires and one power cord thank god!
chevParticipantQuote:Do you think the flanger hoax will be discontinued soon? that would be just my luck!I bought a unit in special (199$CDN?) that was suppose to be the last at the shop but few weeks later, guess what? they have a brand new unit in the counter…
I don’t know about the discontinued, it’s a well hided item so they’re should be some left for a while I guess.
The Poly Chorus is a good quality Chorus! I might get one…later…!
chevParticipantmy latest setup, I’m now using the BYOC Mighty Mouse for my (over the top dirt) in the MOSFET O.D. mode, blended with the Grapphic Fuzz overdrive it’s perfect.
everyone should get a GF, it’s amazing how well you can dial in the tone you always dream off!
chevParticipantHC is a fantastic review source and their’s many good forum thread there…
hope they recover from it and kick the ass of those hackers…
I might be risking of being attack with that but I can’t resist:
