Hello to all, and a happy new year!

my quest is very basic and simple… i need to trigger various high quality samples by foot.. i need it to be in a stand-alone version (no laptops too much beer on stage) and it has to have zero delay/latency

    thanks
    sifis

Have you checked out the JamMan pedals by Digitech? I got one, it’s easy enough to use. You can even store samples on an SD card. It has a normal pedal form factor or you can get a bigger version.

It also has a footswitch to let you select through samples.

Excellent, Carmine. And thanks for throwing in the microPog. Maybe you saw my other thread, where I suggested EHX makes a Freeze/POG variant to add -1 octave drones.

Ya I saw your post. Being able to do an octave and 5th would sound great. The Saz sounds great with the freeze because I have it tuned in all octaves and 5ths.

VERY nice. I am dying for a freeze and don’t know what’s taking me so long. I received a Baglama Saz from Turkey as a gift and I am learning my way around it. Very inspiring vid.

I also have a baglama saz from Turkey!
I tune mine CGC (sometimes DAD) it’s a really easy tuning to get started and have fun, I’m learning my way around it too.

It sounds great with the freeze pedal too! Want me to make a little demo?

    Bill,
Thank you for the amazing demo. I can’t see the settings on the Indian backwards sounds and some of the others (it looks like you have all the knobs for the Memory Man down) same for the POG2.

    Can you post those settings?

    Thanks!

I think the biggest hurdle to that being made is the case ‘cut out’ for the LED display… all ehx fit to a pattern.. either 1 knob 1 switch, 2 knobs 1 switch etc. Making a tuner would require a machine set up just to do a different drilling for one pedal, which probably couldn’t be used for any other pedal.. thus would be expensive to make…. that’s basically the answer I got when I asked about a nano graphic eq, if it doesn’t use a standard layout of an already existing pedal, then don’t expect it too soon.

It doesn’t need to look EXACTLY like that… it could just be a simple rectangle for the note name and a red to green LED (like the one in the electric mistress even).

I’m just trying to switch all of my gear over to EHX and use Nano when it works.

didn’t DOD already call their tuner the Tuner Fish?

I did a little googling and found they did make something called Tuna in 1996

    But it looks discontinued

I do a lot of gigging and traveling and nano pedals are my new friends :)

    EHX Green Back$
    – Prints f@$#ing money
    – knob to select bill type
    – toggle switch for USD/EUR

    – Costs $120 for nano chasis model, but you’ll make back your investment with first use!

    Being able to switch between A <> B and A -> B -> A/B Mix would be amazing also.

Can someone just make this pedal as a joke and have it just send your signal straight through? :) I just want people to ask me about it when they see it on my pedal board :)

    EHX Switch Hitter
    – Switch between 2 instruments
    – Volume knob for each (with -20db to +20db gain)
    – LED’s to let you know what channel you’re on
    – Switch toggles between A <> B and A -> B -> Mute

(sorry, having way too much fun with photoshop today)

EHX Tuner Fish pedal would be great!

    – Nano Chasis
    – Run on 9v
    – Maybe a mute toggle switch which means “when stepped on mute the signal”
    – Cost around $60

Probably HOG + Cathedral set fully wet. Dry out of HOG into a Germanium OD with the voltage turned down to get a short buzzy tone.

Or there’s my simple sitar mimicry style- tune every string to C or D. Learn the melody lines to “Within You Without You.” Strum every string when you play notes. It will sound good.

Also, this crazy genius made a sympathetic string reverb: http://nicksworldofsynthesizers.com/stringresonator.php

    Hey! Thanks for the response!

I play the Oud which is a fretless Middle Eastern instrument. I’ve had acoustic versions for years but now I picked up an electric which is fantastic as it’s opening me up to using pedals!

I got some EHX pedals and they are working great. Thankfully I live in NYC and I can run around to stores and try them out first but everything has worked out great.

The electric oud I have actually has a pretty long sustain time. I listened to your HOG/Sitar demo and it sounds I think close enough for the kind of gigs I do (Mid-East/Fusion) where I just need the sound for a tune or improv.

Do you remember the settings you had on the Hog?
