CaptainMooseParticipant
Nice name DC! Me and my buddy are actually saving up $7600 to go record with Albini at Electrical Audio!
Nice board, btw.CaptainMooseParticipantI want it to do just crazy synth stuff, not for one particular sound. One of the bad things bout the FM4 is it doesn’t have much low end so that’s cool that the XO is bassy. Another complaint with the fm4 is that it sucks volume, is this true with the MS?
Edit: also you said the square wave wasn’t good on the xo, so how’s it sound combined with a bmp?CaptainMooseParticipantHeres my new PT-Pro:

CaptainMooseParticipantSince it has a noise gate wouldn’t that mean you’d want to put it at the end of your chain? To get the gate effect I mean. Or do I not understand the way those work?
CaptainMooseParticipantI actually upgraded from a PT2 to a PT-Pro and have got way more EHX pedals! I took off the Super Shifter and the Crybaby and put on these pedals: Worm, POG2, Stereo Pulsar, FM4 Exp. pedal, 535Q Crybaby, Riddle Q-Balls and a Superego. Its amazing if I do say so myself! I’ll post a picture later when I get home.
CaptainMooseParticipantI just turn the master volume up on my GE-7, I haven’t tried to see if boosting certain freq. will do the trick, maybe I’ll try that when I get home. I kind of doubt theres any mods for this pedal, at least yet, but I could be wrong.
CaptainMooseParticipantI don’t own a Ravish (and haven’t tried the one at my local guitar store YET), but I’d be surprised if you couldn’t get real sitar sounds. It reminds me when I first got my POG2 and I was trying the flute preset from the tone tips section of this site, and it had the tone of a flute, but not the overall attack or the real sound of a flute. So I tried my ebow with it, and it immediately sounded exactly like a flute. My mom, who’s played flute for like 50 years literally couldn’t tell the difference! So obviously a lot of it is how you play, at least with the POG2.
CaptainMooseParticipantSweet dude, I took your idea and turned my amp down and my GE-7 up and auto mode works perfect now. Thanks!
CaptainMooseParticipantNice dude, glad to hear it, cuz I just got mine yesterday, and I’m still learning how to properly use it. I can tell this is gonna take a LONG time to master, which is a good thing!
CaptainMooseParticipantYeah, auto mode seems a lil unresponsive, but I still prefer my superego. I’ve only tried the freeze, but as far as I know, the superego can do ANYTHING the freeze can, and more!
November 22, 2012 at 4:59 pm in reply to: order all the EHX pedals you’ve owned from favorite to least favorite #118430CaptainMooseParticipantAlright, got 2 more EHX pedals!
1) big muff pi w/ tonewicker
2) riddle qballs
3) pog2
4) superego synth engine
5) strereo pulsar tremolo
6) the wormCaptainMooseParticipantHell yeah, I woodnt trade my Riddle for anything, not even a MuTron III clone.
CaptainMooseParticipantCrazy I just went in to buy a Freeze and it wAs gone so I got the Superego. I was gonna make a post asking if the Freeze can do anything the Superego can’t. Anyone know?
CaptainMooseParticipantI don’t own a Q Tron, I’ve only tried ’em out, so I’m not 100% sure but I’ve never heard a Q Tron do ANYTHING, and I mean anything, the Riddle can’t. Except for the Q Tron + has that effects loop so that’s one thing the Riddle doesn’t.
