Hi
Chip Scooter Dugan said “do not have technical support via email or phone.
You can post your question on our forum…”But I’ll try again.
thanks,
CameroncameronspgParticipantHi,
How much would it cost? I’m in Australia, which means posting it to the States and paying for post back, and then adding the repair fee on top of that. How does the repair department take the knobs off? Do they just break the knobs? It feels like a flawed design…The kicker is that I was only trying to take off the knob so I could measure the pot spline and 3d print scaled down Sovtek knobs for the Green Russian reissue pedal (which I don’t have yet, and if you can’t change the knobs, mightn’t actually buy).
thanks,
CameroncameronspgParticipantResurrecting an old thread, but I just broke the Feedback pot on my Memory Boy (not Deluxe). I thought I’d been pretty gentle (having read this thread)
I emailed EHX, but they weren’t of much help and told me to use the forums. Does anyone know the value/type of the Feedback pot, as well as how to remove the other knobs without breaking them too, please?
I have also removed knobs from dozens of pedals, and not had this happen.
Thanks for any help
CameroncameronspgParticipantThere’s one or two on eBay, has anyone tried one out yet? I’m pretty tempted.
It seems pretty good, though I don’t immediately associate a DI box with Big Muff.cameronspgParticipantI know this is an old thread, but I bought a Green Russian Bassballs on a recent trip to Tokyo. It was in pretty good condition, in its wooden box. (Also grabbed that trip: a nice 97 Japanese Fender Mustang, and 2000s Japanese Strat and an 87 USA Strat.)
Apart from the Electric Mistress, I have the “whole set” of Green Russians: Big Muff, Bassballs and Small Stone. I also have them in Black Russian too (and vintage USA, come to think of it – they say the first step is admitting you have a problem).
I would consider selling the green Russian set to a real collector, I’m just a bass player who got obsessed with EHX pedals in wooden boxes and bought too many…
cameronspgParticipantThanks so much EH Man,
I will solder in a .1 capacitor into the op amp Muff and let you know what happens.
With the transistor Muff, I think someone’s just wired it a bit wrong; there’s no wires going to the tip lug of the jacks, so they might have just got the lugs confused. Are there any diagrams of where the wires from the board are aupposed to go (ie where input/output/power connect)?
thanks again for your help.

cameronspgParticipantHi,
not sure about posting etiquette; should this have been posted in the Vintage forum?
thanks,
CameroncameronspgParticipantThanks Flick,
I’m pretty sure the power supply is centre negative, as it works with all my other pedals. I tried a few other power supplies, and I think they all did the same thing.I’ll check again though (and check if the boards are in right while I’m there)
thanks,
CameroncameronspgParticipantI have a similar problem (blend acting as backward volume, no other knobs working), but only when a power supply is plugged in. I have tried it with two different power supplies which work with other pedals, including EHX ones… It works OK with a battery.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks…
CameroncameronspgParticipantThanks for posting the Microsynth sample settings. But by any chance does anyone have them for bass? Are they the same…? I’ve been trying out the guitar settings on my Bass Microsynth, and they’re pretty good, but if there were special ones for bass….
