I just added the power supply last night and it works like a champ. I was suprised how easy it was. It only took me about a hour; because I was really taking my time. Now I can power my muff right off my pedal board or via the 9volt battery. Now I’m considering adding a true bypass switch to it.
burnthoganParticipantRon,
Your responses have been invaluable to me. Thanks.burnthoganParticipantI was thinking of doing this to my muff since I already have had to tinker with it. I have three semi-related question that you guys might be able to help me out with.
1. Where’s a good place on the web to source parts like the new socket with insulation, and a 3pdt switch?
2. What rating soldering iron / size tip is best for working on pedals?
3. What kind of solder do you use?
Thanks
burnthoganParticipantGot it up and running it wasn’t easy as the eyelets were fused to the cap. It ended pulling one on them out when I removed the component. I had to run a little solder on the track to fuse the gaps. It sounds good. I spent a couple of hours rocking it out.
burnthoganParticipantGreat, that sounds good. I’m going to stop by the radio shack after work and see if I can get this beast rockin again. Thanks again for you help.
If is wasn’t for people like you all I would have would be a big green paper weight.
burnthoganParticipantHey Ron,
Thanks for the lightning fast response.
Any Idea the value of said component? Any idea where I could look for one.
Thanks! -
