The repair shop said the tubes were shot. So the replacement tubes I tried were shot right out of the box. I ended up wasting close to 100 bucks with new tubes shipping and service charges. If I had the tubes tested I could have saved some money. So dont assume the tubes you bought are good. Go to your music store and get them checked to make sure it’s not the tubes. Other than that little bit of advice I can’t really help. Good luck, it’s a great pedal when it’s working.
UPDATE… New tubes only lasted a couple of hours and its back to doing the same thing.
Buddah FingahsParticipantI had a dead muffin also. The tubes lit up, but not very bright. I brought it in and was told the tubes were done. New tubes were put in but they only lasted a couple of hours at the most and its back to little to no output. So if you change the tubes keep this in mind.

They said it was only the tubes and is working fine now. I tried 2 new EH brand tubes and they didn’t work. Looks like I got 2 duds.

I thought by now for sure someone would say something like ” oh yeah, that pedal is the same as a 60’s marshal tone stack, what you got there is a failed cap” or something similar. Nobody even has a guess as to what the problem might be? Hello ELECTRO HARMONIX any ideas why your product failed? Would I be wasting my time taking it to an electronics shop? Please help!
