I have been wanting to know the difference as well. I have the original HG and just tried the new Nano at Guitar Center. It sounded real good but made some pingy noises. Maybe the knob was set too high. It was challenging as there was obvious “noise” in the store as you would expect. I would have to do a side by side comparison. Also, the difference between the Small Clone and the Nano Clone.
Brio4003ParticipantHi Blue Steel,
I just tried the new Nano HG and it sounded real good-made some twangy/pingy noises though as plucked. Maybe more like kicking a real reverb unit. I suppose it might be the setting was to high, but I will have to do a comparison against my original HG and see which sounds better. I am always sceptical when it comes to rezising effects that were in larger cases, assuming the extra space accounted for the electronics needed to produce that sound. In any case, the nano HG is cool!
I play in the band Den Of Thieves out of the NYC metro area. We are currently looking into high profile management and A&R representation. Could you recommend anyone that would help us in relationship to record labels? Please visit us at our myspace page at myspace.com/denofthievesnj
Brio4003ParticipantNope , no mods to the bass, no added pickups. I have the most top rate gear. No mumbo jumbo synth guitar crap. I was pretty clear on that. Just a pedal like any other effect acting as a link to the keyboard. Not interested in large sized effects or the POG.
