Great box guys, but i’m with everyone else here I hate that auto tune thing. For ‘pop’ stars that can’t sing. But all the other stuff is wonderful, the vocoder is awesome
BrianzeroParticipantWell, I had mine in line for years but now its in the loop and i think sounds so much better. Lets just say the pedals now sit in the sound, does that make sense? As I don’t use any overdrive of fuzz pedals but rely on the amps overdrive most of my gear is modulation, echoes, wah etc. Having the small stone in the loop, the sound is just peachy also the wiggler and SMMWH. The best way is just to experiment and see what sounds good to your ears. Good luck.
BrianzeroParticipantMaybe we expect too much from phasing. I guess one has to remember that in phasing you are just hearing the point of sound as it moves thro the sound spectrum. So at anytime you are just hearing that piont that is moving thro its travel so to speak. So yes I guess it sounds ‘thin’ and stetched etc. But when you hear it when its moving and shimmering then it really comes into its own. I love phasing its such an organic sound unlike anything else. It all started in the 70’s for me with the small stone and is still continuing this day with the re issue classic chassis small stone, just love em!
BrianzeroParticipantBill, you are a genius !! I love your work, very inspiring
BrianzeroParticipantI’m all for it!!
BrianzeroParticipantQuote:Oh! Hi Brian! Small world How are you and the lovely Madam Juno doing? What date is the Moreton muasic day? Seems like ages since we’ve seen you guys!
Hi Teddy
25th July, Morton music day.BrianzeroParticipantHi Teddy, Brian here, Jackies husband. Hows it going?? Hope you get your Pog sorted. Been into these guys since the 70’s, just love there gear. We are playing at the Morton music festival, see you there??? All the best
BrianBrianzeroParticipantNever played on a Pulsar but do love my wiggler !!!
BrianzeroParticipantAbsolutley priceless!!!
BrianzeroParticipantThe rotary Its got to be the wiggler, awesome tones to be had
BrianzeroParticipantI used to have one of these, please remind me what the squelch switch did…..
BrianzeroParticipantThere is no expression pedal plug in the wiggler. It really dosen’t need one, it does a great leslie sound, very univibe (Jimi).
BrianzeroParticipantQuote:I love the vintage enclosures for nostalgic and sentimental reasons, but I’m glad that EHX is discontinuing them. There are enough used and NOS ones floating around out there on eBay to satisfy guys like me. In order for EHX to keep up with the market, they’re doing the right thing.I’m right here with you on this one, yes I love em too but as was posted on the other thread, EHX has to survive in the market place, long live them all!
BrianzeroParticipantYes I agree with all of the above points.
What made EH interesting in the first place was they were different, odd shaped boxes, way over the top sounds, could we say a cutting edge?
I would ask please don’t scrap the old enclosures, cos yes they got ‘mojo’, the newer ones….. ????BrianzeroParticipantGotta say I just love em too. Just not convinced by the nano series. Im just a vintage die hard!!!
However…..some of the XHO stuff is just great I’m completely blown away by the SMMH, a stroke of genius. -
