BrianzeroParticipant
I am afraid I haven’t a clue about the impedance issue. It is interesting because on my pedal board the wiggler is before the SMMwH and I have not had this issue and I run through my effects loop. I take it you are using all the correct power supplies ? If you isolate the MM does it do it when you kick it in ? Maybe there might be something amiss with the outputs from the MMwH ? Just a thought. Sorry I am not techie. Hope you get it sorted out.
BrianzeroParticipantHi,
So when the wiggler is in by pass mode is the volume still high ? Or does it only happen when the effect is engaged ? Remember it has it’s own volume control.BrianzeroParticipantThat looks pretty good to me. In the end its how it sounds to you.

BrianzeroParticipantQuote:Quote:Folstone57 is spot onBrian, I assume you have the English Muff. What tubes have you tried?
No I don’t have the muffin but I do have a tube black finger and a tube Wiggler and know if you put different rated tubes in them you change the tonality and power.
BrianzeroParticipantFolstone57 is spot on
BrianzeroParticipantThat is just insane .
BrianzeroParticipantHi,
Ok that would be a good place for the black finger at the beginning of your chain. As far as getting that punch sound, that comes down to personal taste. Too much compression can really flatten your tone, so less can be more. The black finger will really warm up your sound and i some times used it on solos. I like the normal/lamp setting as it isn’t so extreme but really adds to your sound.Have included a link here for everything compressor
Good luck
and persevere.

BrianBrianzeroParticipantHi Tim
Hmmm I know when I first got mine i sort of panicked because i couldn’t stop it looping but some careful reading of the instructions does help. Click it out off effect and then hold down the tap tempo/loop switch for a second or so and the looping stops. I don’t know if this is your problem or your friend just didn’t know how to do this. Hope it helps.
BrianzeroParticipantHave it set on the normal setting not squash and back right off the compression dial. If you then up the pre gain and the post gain you will find that you can get a tube sound. The more you increase the pre gain the more distortion you will get. Good luck
BrianzeroParticipantQuote:Hey guys I bought a Deluxe Electric Mistress used, and it sounds all tinny when I play the higher notes on my guitar. so I opened it up and noticed some trimmer pots and thought those might need some adjusting. but I’m wondering if any one knows the default positions for the trimmers. Any help would be great. Thanks
JeffAlso that is the nature of flanged sound is that is makes the high notes much brighter and causes a shimmer in the sound, so what you might be hearing is perfectly normal
BrianzeroParticipantI would put it after so it lifts the sound of the muffin and still preserves the original tone
BrianzeroParticipantMaybe the robots enjoy talking about EHX products ? heheh
BrianzeroParticipantThis sound on mine is very quiet, I only noticed it on headphones, I can’t hear anything when its coming thro the amp. I suspect thats the same on the Peter Stroud vid, its coming through the amp. But if you hear all this distortion coming through your amp then maybe send it back to them for repair. I don’t know what else to suggest. Is there anybody out there with a similar problem ?
BrianzeroParticipantOk, well sounds like its the nature of the beast. I guess I have got used to it. I certainly don’t notice it in a live situation. And yes, in Sqsh mode its completely silent. I think it is just the circuit for normal / lamp / led, its a bit noisy. I did email EHX about it and they said much the same. But as a pedal I wouldn’t be without it, wonderful piece of kit.
