brianthewalrusParticipantQuote:I don’t see how the HOG could be downsized to fit in that small of an enclosure. They’d have to remove so many features.
Perhaps they could use one of these enclosures.
brianthewalrusParticipantQuote:Do you need to replace the entire pot or just a snapped-off shaft?I need to replace the entire pot. So far my search has yet to come up with anything substantial except for the “Mojo Musical Supply” pots, but I’m trying to find something as close as the original as possible. Thanks everyone for their help (oh and Liberty Belle, it’s for the Sustain control).
brianthewalrusParticipantAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I took off the knobs and placed them back on to “re-align” them and all of a sudden my DMM does not work! I opened her up and couldn’t see anything wrong! I have no idea how this happened! Any clues? I’m afraid this is beyond my ability to repair, does anyone know how I can contact EHX to solve this issue?
brianthewalrusParticipantI like your knobs. I wish my DMM had the pointer knobs!
brianthewalrusParticipantI wish EHX would just release “limited editions” of the new XOs in classic cases. I’d kill for a classic cased SMMH or Big Muff w/ Tone Wicker!
brianthewalrusParticipantFIXED! It was a bent power transistor that caused all this fuss! I simply bent it back to vertical and it was fixed! What a nightmare this was, I’m glad it’s over and I’m once again enjoying the beauty of a DMM again!
brianthewalrusParticipantSo after some more tinkering, I’ve discovered that if the circuit board is removed from the enclosure and is in no way touching the enclosure, the problem is solved! Once one of the potentiometers makes contact with the enclosure, the problem reappears. Having my circuit board separated from my enclosure is a less than ideal solution, so does anyone have any ideas?

The “EHX Tune Her Hazarai”brianthewalrusParticipantbrianthewalrusParticipantI know the Sovtek Electric Mistress was never put into production.

And here’s the story:

brianthewalrusParticipantYeah, I think I will. When I look closer at the construction of the Sovtek Muff, It’d be alot more work to use a “standard” DPDT switch than just shelling out an extra $10 for the OEM replacement. Thanks for your help!
brianthewalrusParticipantI was going to post mine, but my green big muff’s switch crapped out and is prepping for some surgery. But, my board is now: big muff > small clone > deluxe memory man.
brianthewalrusParticipantThanks chaps! I think I’m just going to replace the switch with a good old DPDT though. I don’t feel like doing the extra work for true bypass.
