BlueSteelParticipantQuote:I can’t wait for Christmas!!!
Only a little more than 11 months to go.
BlueSteelParticipantQuote:Quote:I got the Small Clone a few months ago. I was origonally going to get a boss chorus pedal but when i played the small clone, it just sounded so much better.I think you’ll find that to be true of any EHX/Boss comparison. Analog just sounds better than digital (this is a fact). That is also the reason why I will never (ever) purchase a single Boss product, when I could get a comparable (somewhat) EHX for the same or lower price.
Yea, i probably won’t buy any more boss pedals. Except maybe their chromatic tuner pedal. Or the DS-2 because Frusciante uses it.
BlueSteelParticipantQuote:I gotta say, those are my favorite size/style……I think they look great.Same here!

this is something me and F&ehx;came up with ages ago….the ‘black lodge’ reverse delay with modulation & distortion….it has a ‘twin peaks’ theme! I still think it would be a neat pedal.
actually, since the Hazarai, it doesn’t seem quite as exciting as it did back then, although modulated reverse delay is still something new.
Black Coffee?
Key Lime Pie?
Delicious?
What does key lime pie sound like?
BlueSteelParticipantQuote:Quote:I saw a vintage phase 100 for about $250 once. is that a reasonalbe price?I dunno I paid £10 for mine on ebay….that’s about $15!
it’s a great pedal though, and quite different to a small stone.
mine’s an early block logo like this one.

Yea, i was just looking at that one. I just havent tried one out though. I was at guitar center yesterday and they didnt have any.

BlueSteelParticipantI have the Small Clone, Big Muff Pi usa, Flanger Hoax and the LPB-1.
I also want the Frequency Analyzer
BlueSteelParticipantQuote:Quote:So the lpb-1 would mess up the sound a little when used with the effect such as the flanger hoax?if you used a boost after it in the loop I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. The LPB-1 isn’t completely transparent though it would alter your tone slightly, I wouldn’t say ‘mess it up’ I like what it does to my tone (although I’ve never tried it in a loop) but it would sound different. The MXR micro amp would colour the tone less but it’s double the price of an lpb…..
….have you got an overdrive pedal lying around, you could try that with the drive knob right down and the volume up to boost the signal, that would give you an idea of what it would sound like with a boost after it?
I just got the lpb-1 today and it works fine to bring the volume back up.
BlueSteelParticipantI just got the lpb-1 today.
BlueSteelParticipantWell isn’t that sort of why there is the “latest post” thing next to the forums and the topics?
BlueSteelParticipanthmmmmm, maybe an XO big muff pi would be a called the “Small Muff Pi”.
It would go along with the small stone and small clone name.
Just kidding though. the big muff pi has to be in a big case or it won’t be one.I would like the XO pedals with the input jacks on the top. it would be so much better because the pedals would be small and you could put them right up against each other so you save space on your pedalboard. Anyone agree?
BlueSteelParticipantyea, definetely possible
BlueSteelParticipantTry changing the battery. I got this weird buzzing sound when i was playing my small clone the other day, so i decided to change the battery and it works fine.
But if it sounds cool then keep it and buy another one for a normal phaser sound.
BlueSteelParticipantI like how the XO pedals are smaller, but i also like how the non XO pedals have the input jacks on the top instead of on the side. But sice the XO’s are smaller, i can live with the jacks being on the side.
BlueSteelParticipantTheres a lot of good books by Chuck Palahniuk.
