I’ve never used a compressor either. i’ve tried to watch demos of compressors, and when they turn the pedal on, i barely hear a difference.

i’d go with the digitech whammy. i’m saying that only because i have no idea what the digitech rp255 is, and i’m way too lazy to google it.

PGS always makes great demos of EHX pedals.

    I want that jaguar!

Those were some great sounds you got with the hoax. i’m going to have to write down those settings, because even after having mine for almost a year, i still don’t really know how to use it. I just randomly turn the knobs until i get a sound i like.

maybe since they are discontinuing the regular russian muff, they might be making a russian muff with tone wicker to replace it.

wow, that’s an awesome pedalboard! i’d love to try that, looks like fun

z.vex – no hate here :) his stuff seems a little overpriced to me, but those probe pedals – cool concept, great thinking out of the box :)

Thanks :thumb: i’m still trying to figure out how the fuzz probe works, it can get really crazy sometimes.

i hate how z.vex stuff is way overpriced. they could sell their pedals for about $100 less and still make a good profit.

is through zero flanging similar to a filter matrix? because i’m not sure as to what it sounds like and i think the flanger hoax can get through zero flanging.

There are websites out there that can give the technical definitions of each.

In laymans terms, a through zero flanger set to do the jet-plane swoosh will eventually pass through a notch of silence (the zero point).

The filter matrix freezes a notch, so it behaves more like a sort of metallic sounding equalizer.

ok, thanks for clearing that up for me!

does anyone know if the flanger hoax is able to get filter matrix sounds?

It is, unfortunately i can’t tell you how just yet! I own the pedal for what, 3 months now and i still have absolutely no idea how it works!!! :freak: Every time i use it it is like trying to pilot the Enterprise :poke: . I will try it tomorrow and give you the settings if i manage to get the sound. I know i did before!

    Awesome, thanks!

in reply to: can LPB-1 Damage Mico Synth or any other effects? #102343

um, i think it would work better if you plug the lpb-1 right into the amp and it shouldnt damage any pedals like that, but i’m not sure about plugging it straight into the microsynth. i’ve never tried plugging my lpb-1 into my microsynth, i just plug it into my amp.
