i agree, cathedral. but if your looking for something more simple, then a regular holy grail would be good.
BlueSteelParticipanti like that red and black big muff on the left in the middle row. its sexy.
BlueSteelParticipantumm, you can sort of get like a bass sound out of it.
BlueSteelParticipanti don’t think i’ve had tone suck with mine, but when the battery does start to die, the effect is weaker, so i guess you could change the battery and see what happens.

BlueSteelParticipanti use 10’s on my guitar.
BlueSteelParticipantQuote:Josh Klinghoffer is the new guitarist. He plays on alot of John’s solo stuff and Ataxia with John as well as Joe Lally from Fugazi which is pretty cool stuff. He also played with the Butthole Surfers I think. This doesn’t mean the band will still be good but I figured I’d mention it since its official.its official? i havent seemed to find anything yet on if it is official or not, a lot of people arent really sure about it, but i’m sure it is him and i think he will do a great job being the new guitarist. i’ve just been waiting for like an “official statement” from the band or him or something. but i guess we’ll all know jan 29 when they play their first show back.
Josh’s other band Dot Hacker is really good too.
BlueSteelParticipanti’ve been wanting to try the EHX strings, but i need to use up my 10 pack of d’addario’s first, plus i cant find them in any store near me.
January 5, 2010 at 8:30 pm in reply to: electro harmonix micro synth problem with effects chain #106104BlueSteelParticipantwell, i have a crybaby and a microsynth, and it works fine before and after the wah, so its not that, it might be the whammy, but i dont know why. it could be the trim inside. theres instructions that came with the microsynth that tells you how to set it at the right point, try that and see what happens i guess.
BlueSteelParticipanti think the one with the green lettering was the first or one of the first.

BlueSteelParticipanti take lessons, but my teacher recommended a book to use, the modern method for guitar. there’s three books, but you can get them all in one.

i don’t use it that much, but it has helped a little.
BlueSteelParticipanti never knew there were color changing LEDs. now i want to change all of my pedals to have color changing LEDs
BlueSteelParticipanti do have to agree with others that the smmh is an amazing pedal, i really love it!
and from the demos i’ve seen, i really like the pog2 and really like the cathedral.
BlueSteelParticipantQuote:Quote:big muffs are supposed to be noisy when they are on and not playing anything. Not supposed to be — some are some aren’t. Quietest muffs I’ve got are a 74 lamb’s head and one triangle. Noisiest were 3034 and the tone wicker. But yes running the muff from its own power supply should help.
oh, my bad. i’ve never played any other muffs except for my nyc reissue, so i just assumed all were like that
