    Hi everyone.
I have 3 EHX pedals I use primarily for studio use & along with all the other outboard gear have created the biggest spaghetti junction ever which has just recently introduced this really cool buzzing noise into all my recordings which I totally don’t want. So I’m doing a big cable management cleanup & came across these pedal board power supply units (eg. Voodoo Labs) that can power multiple pedals from one unit which would be real handy by freeing up a few electrical outlets for use for other gear. The manuals to my EHX pedals clearly outline to use only THEIR AC adapters & failure to so, if anything should go wrong, would void the warranty. So my question is can I use one of these things or not? Are there brands to steer clear of or any you recommend as reliable? I don’t want to blow anything up & void my warranty because that would suck.
    Thanx:-)

You kinda told on yourself, but if there is an issue with the pedal just tell customer service “Yes, I used your power supply.” They will never know. I have had no problems using the 9v power cables on my SKB pedal board.

    Hi,

I’ve recently bought a 720 looper and although it works fine a slight annoyance is the fact that no guitar cable I have (and I’ve tried several different kinds) will plug in fully to any of the input or output sockets. Usually when you plug a cable into a pedal or other device you get a click when it’s pushed completely in. With the 720 looper you don’t get this and the cable could easily be pulled out. Btw, I used to have a 360 looper and it also had the same thing, although it’s slightly more noticeable on the 720.

Is this a common issue on EHX pedals or just these loopers?

    Thanks.

I have the 720 Looper as well. Yeah, you don’t get the click that you normally have on some pedals. But my signal is fine and there is no chance of the cable coming out. It’s snug. You would have to purposely pull hard on the cable to get it to come out. The company probably bought from a new supplier and that is that way the jacks act. I wouldn’t worry about it.
