It’s bizarre that there isn’t more info on this matter. Conceivably, you could get the same volume from a Magnum 44 into a 16ohm cab as you would from a Caliber 22 into an 8 ohm cab.

I’m sure it’s a whole bunch more complicated than the simple maths I’ve outlined in this thread so your AB experiment would certainly be of interest to me.
