B.DawsParticipant
That’s awesome melx. I wasn’t trying to knock people for doing it, I just think it is a funny concept. Seriously no path how the great melx got to where he is today? I can’t believe you chose to talk on my one little side note in there, I’m taking it out.
B.DawsParticipantQuote:Boss Slow Gear SG-1 maybe?Although I’ve done a similar sounding ting with a DMM if set right with the feedback on the edge of running away from itself it will build.
Failing that, you want a looper. There is a cheap alternative to the Boss Slow Gear called the Behringer Slo Motion (which a friend gave to me). You basically need an classic attack type pedal I think. Both the Micro Synth’s have this feature that do the swell and sustain but I’m not sure if you can pick over them like you want to.
B.DawsParticipantQuote:from what i tried, well, it kinda moves the whole sound across the sound spectre – it affects how sharp the following will be and it also a liitle bit affects the sensitivity ( aacording to my ears… it’s very hard for me to say, i don’t know about the technical background, just say what i experienced)You described the “Q” to a T.
B.DawsParticipantIt does but I want to say it affects the “Q”. Someone else will hopefully chime in on this!
December 1, 2009 at 9:07 pm in reply to: “BLACK RUSSIAN” Big Muff: Fuzz FADES OUT after about 30 seconds EVERY TIME I turn it on #104596B.DawsParticipantGet a new one! I just had one sell on eBay for $70 which I thought was crazy. What kind of amp are you using? I have no idea what to tell you about this problem.
B.DawsParticipantDoesn’t sound normal. Mine doesn’t do that at least!
B.DawsParticipantMaybe it’s a bad one? Have you messed with the bright switch? You are using a speaker cable and not an instrument cable right? Also you are running the pedal straight to the cabinet I assume and you are sure of the ohmage right?
If you turned it on without any cab hooked up to it you can mess it up I’m pretty sure.
B.DawsParticipantSold for $575! Not too bad. One that was slightly newer in a newer box with the same parts sold for $650 though
B.DawsParticipantQuote:Yeah i’ve herd that would reduce noise aswell, although ive never really had any noise troubles. Have you ever tried running the hot tubes and english muff’n together? i was thinking about getting a hot tubesThat would just be insanity.
B.DawsParticipantYou can use any MIDI foot controller!
B.DawsParticipantI think you should look into the V256 as I think it might have more droning out there options you might be seeking vs the melodic harmonies of the Voice Box.
B.DawsParticipantQuote:Yeah but then I have two tracks coming out of the Left and two out of the Right. So I have two sounds and thats messy in the DAW. Still not a real way to get 4 clean mono sounds.I totally got you. I failed to remember it doesn’t have four outputs lol. Well you could do two tracks that way, then do the other two on a stereo you split.
B.DawsParticipantThe increase of hiss is the hiss already present in your signal. By moving the dynamic range closer together even the hiss at the bottom of the spectrum gets brought up to a louder level. That’s why compressors go first in the chain, so the hiss of overdrives/distortions isn’t added to it. Shield you guitar and put the compressor as the only thing in your chain and I bet the noise will disappear. I don’t mind a little noise though, it’s analog feel in a digital age
B.DawsParticipantI was planning on doing this to my Muff’n and Hot Tubes. It is the more logical choice, plus I have heard if you move the hardwired part to the bottom of the pedal or outside of it it reduces noise as well!!!
B.DawsParticipantI have two cards (the original and some other no name one) and as long as you follow the formatting instructions in the book it works fine. Just make sure you format it to the correct file system it states!!!
