I have an LPB-1 and the Sonic Maximizer. You could use it in either place. If it is before it will boost your volume going into the SM, if it is placed after it will boost the SM signal. I would suggest using it before because it adds mids and such and I usually want the SM to work on the final signal(I have the rack unit not the stomp box though). Try it out in either place and see what you like!!!

Thanks Tut! I haven’t been on here forever and was just cruising around and forgot I even posted this. HeavenBD is a new one I put on there that has some of my new Memory Toy in it. I’m really happy with the way it sounds too for being recorded in my studio. Check it out!

definitely along the lines of the Foxx tone machine! been after one of those for a while now but so far no luck! :(

Danelectro French Toast (around $20 or less used) is the exact same thing as the Foxx Tone Machine. Go get one and try it out! I love mine and it will faithfully replicate the Jack White Octave Fuzz sound and Hendrix as well. Check it out!!! Plus what do you lose if it sucks but a small amount of dough!

I have had two Sovtek’s and a 73 Ram’s Head and I love the Sovtek’s. I sold one and modded the other to the Green Sovtek specs and added a tone wickeresqe switch to it, very versatile and awesome now!

The Night Train looks really cool. I have an Epiphone Valve Jr that rocks for $100! I modded it quite heavily but it is a great deal. They also have the Hot Rodded Valve Jr and the Valve Sr out now which look cool as well. If you want to hear the Epi Cranked go to http://sites.google.com/site/ofmemphis and listen to “Heaven”.

I have a heavily modded Crybay that rocks but I had to put many component changes a red fasel and the BC109s in there to get it to the point I wanted. I have a Rocktron Black Cat Moan and it is pretty cool. Also the WH10V2 will be out soon and I have already preordered it. Clyde’s are the standard for many wahers but to get the best wah I think you have to customize it to the sound and sweep you want. You can always widen the sweep by changing out minimal components.

I have heard two AX7’s cause it to be buzzy and lose all cohesiveness. I have heard 1AX7 with the AY7 can be pretty awesome. AT7s also could work well with it but nobody ever brings up putting AT7s in there, I have all of these tubes and the Muff’n so I’ll try to post some clips for you.

    Moonmin,

I have the Muff’n and Hot Tubes. They are like comparing apples and oranges. The Hot Tubes though is raunchy craziness that is basically a schizophrenic Big Muff. The Muff’n is more in your ballpark probably with the definition and clarity of overdrive you desire. I love EHX for sure but you might want to check out the Rocktron Silver Dragon. It has a tube side and a higher gain digital side, it is a favorite of mine.

I guess you probably know this at this point but when I want to run it without the instrument signal I just unplug the instrument out. I know this seems very complicated and hard but it works if you are precise and meticulous.

I use the pedal on mine and it’s pretty awesome. It’s cool with the Wah and Phaser. Can’t use it very much with the Vibrato and it produces a very strange effect on the Tremolo. What are some more specific questions you might have?

does it sweep like a wah does ? or just general sounds around the range and depth that you set it at

    thanks

Yes it sweeps like a Wah. The pedal becomes the range button and the range button turns off thus allowing you to sweep the range of the effect. The depth allows you to make tons of different tones.

If you are going to throw it away, send it to me instead and let me have a look and work on it! I have brought a pawn shop BMP back to life before! It had a weird issue where the volume only worked between 11 and 2 o’clock and I just rewired the entire thing. PM me if you are interested in trying this. I am in Memphis, TN.

The thing is you will need two amplifiers if you want the instrument and vocal sound. The instrument out is a standard 1/4″. There should be no problem running a XLR to 1/4″ for the Mic since the VoiceBox is a preamp too!

By saying music is dead, I was referring to Pop music and how it is ruining the ears of the younger generation. I know there is still good music out there that is made every day but the soulful music with meaning seems like it is on the decline. Now a days there is no Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Bob Marley or captivating powerful soulful musicians like there once were.
