I don’t think this would work with a Memory Boy, because the Freeze mod uses a momentary switch. Perhaps there’s a non momentary soft touch switch you can use, though.

It makes no difference if I unplug the power supply, or the power to the pedal.

But here’s what helped a lot: placing the pedal in the last position, rather than the 1st position, on my board. When it’s plugged in to the first position, the whine is very loud and the pedal is unusable. When it’s plugged in to the last position, the whine is very faint, and now the pedal is usable in a gig situation! It must have something to do with the pedal buffering. (And this is with a Visual Sound 1Spot with 5 other pedals connected).

My Freeze pedal is unusable with my pedal board. I’m trying to use it with a 1Spot, but it whines. EHX said they could fix it, so I sent it back, and just got it back. It still whines, so it’s apparently a design flaw that really needs to be addressed. In the meantime, it’s going on the auction blcok.

EHX told me they could fix the whine in my Freeze pedal, so I sent it to them, and just received it back. It still makes the exact same whine. It’s a real disappointment because I missed my window to take it back to the store where I bought it. Darn, I really like the pedal, but can’t use it because of the whine.

(And the thing about plugging the power in and out did nothing for me.)
