well. i replaced the switch and i have the same problem. what should i look for now?
just so you know: years ago a local tech repaired the power supply by mounting a voltage regulator to the chassis. and i have been rocking rock this holier grail about 3 or 4 times PER WEEK since then. that repair i am referring to was done in october of 2007. so whatever he did was good.
any suggestions for this problem?
Scott:
My Holier Grail is awesome. We had some problems years ago out of the box but once we fixed them it has been smooth-sailing. But right now I get no signal from the main output. I can however get signal from the reverb only output. I inspected connections (inside) and the Main out put is solid and soldered fine.
I suspect the footswitch. Can I order one from Mouser? Can I order a true bypass switch instead? I can’t remember if this is true bypass–I assume not since I get no signal now, even in bypass. Which Mouser part would you recommend?
Ps I have a professional recording studio. I am not a wizard at reading schematics. but I can salvage & install resistors, chips, and caps in my console modules, mic-pres , and amplifiers… neatly and correctly. I have a multimeter and soldering tools etc. but usually a tech has to tell me where to start. Can you help?
