I surprisingly agree…
EHX has already kicked analog ass enough.

Nasty. Reminds me of some sci-fiish shit from the ’80s. Peeew! Weeeeaw! Die, you fucking alien!
asatbluesboyParticipantHmm… A Christmas tree full o EHX light art? That would rock.
asatbluesboyParticipantThe 36999s do look a lot like 2N5133s.
asatbluesboyParticipantQuote:sounds like maybe the power jack is having some problemsHe said the LED is always on, I’d look somewhere else.
Sorry, I can’t be of any help… Digital stuff scares the hell outta me.
asatbluesboyParticipantQuote:Step aside Jonny fanboys, here’s the no less impressive Ed O’Brien. Can you spot the EHX?http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/picture1276.php#

HAZARAI!!!
Thanks so much, man. I never seemed to be able to find stuff on him.
asatbluesboyParticipantQuote:I agree completely
I love how on synths you can set LFOs to be and then ramp them up with the mod wheel manually. I’d love to do that on guitar. I’d probably use trem and phasers more if I could do that. Also being able to control speed would be cool too
Add an LED pulsating at the LFOs speed and it would be heaven.
To outperfect perfection there could be an internal switch that would allow you to choose whether the rate-indication LED would be on when you switched the pedal off, but I’m getting way out of practicity here…
asatbluesboyParticipantQuote:^^^ 5F6A . . . is that a Bassman of some sort ? ^^^Yup. The Tweed model. I had one built by my tech with a solid-state rectifier and a different output transformer so I could have 4 and 8-ohm outputs (not the original 2-ohm one). A bit heretic, but sounds awesome. It’s like a Super with no reverb or tremolo.

And here’s the story:
http://electroharmonix.ronsound.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=38&Itemid=45I wonder how many dollars people would be shelling out for a black-battery-door one nowadays…
??? Do you have one?
I wish. I was just dreaming out loud had those ever gone into production.
asatbluesboyParticipantYou can hook two outputs in parallel, so you have double the current. That’s quite an easy cable to build.
asatbluesboyParticipantI bought mine because I had serious GAS and the shop didn’t have any delays (which is what I originally wanted). As I only had one dirt pedal and the Small Clone, it took all modulation duties, and I must say it did it bravely. It’s amazing what you can do with just one knob and a depth switch. Warbly, lush, deep… I used it in like 80% of my band’s songs, every time I wanted to add some depth or craziness to it. I freaking love this pedal. Of course nowadays it’s got 5 knobs and whatnot, but I almost always use it just as I used it before.
asatbluesboyParticipantAs if I needed any more GAS… Motherbucker…
asatbluesboyParticipantQuote:Quoting myself from another forum: “as best as I understand it, the XO DMM is only available in some non-US markets — and that’s because it was tweaked for European Union RoHS-compliance — so there isn’t an XO DMM in production for the US market. I have no information regarding when/whether a US XO DMM will become available. I totally wish I could be more specific, but that’s really the best I can do!”eBay UK and Deutschland, here we go!
asatbluesboyParticipantI’ve always thought all effects that use LFOs could benefit from expression pedals.
asatbluesboyParticipantQuote:I wouldn’t like to see EH build guitars again because no manufacturer can beat a fender guitar, EHX does effects and they do them great, stick with what you know.Amen.
Quote:Are “Theremin”s generally regarded as instruments?Hmmm… Maybe. They produce notes, so why not?
+1 for the synth. -
