Are you going in/out stereo? If so, are you panning properly on both input and the recorded tracks themselves?
Annette_BParticipantHi Keenwa1, I’m glad you’re enjoying the midi mouse, I love simplifying and extending options by using external midi controllers!
What you are experiencing is a common issue between different midi devices: it really comes down to each device/manufacturer choosing to start their commands (PC or CC) at 00 or 01. I have this happen to me in different scenarios and I have just gotten used to it It does confuse me every now and then but oh well haha.
Annette_BParticipantYou might have forgotten your attachment
In any case, you could send PC messages from Mainstage (maybe? I don’t know it that well) to 95000. The PC numbers in the manual are for external controllers controlling the 95000, not the other way around.
Annette_BParticipantHi,
unfortunately, the only message you will be able to send from the 95000 will be midi clock (and with that also transport (start/stop) messages). You could send PC messages to and thru the looper to your computer. On pages 20 and 35ff you will find information on what can be sent from and sent to the 95000.
Annette_BParticipantHi,
I’ve used the midi mouse to control the 95000 in the past. It does work ok because the PC messages that you need for record and stop are right next to each other – 102 and 103. It is definitely a little bit of a brain exercise because if you need to press rec a second time in a row you’d have to use the middle button on the midi mouse twice. If you alternate between stop and rec, you simply use left and right button. This will make more sense once you read the midi mouse instructions. All that said, it’s likely your cheapest and smallest option right now. But you will always need to be aware of what you are doing/which PC number you need.

Annette_BParticipantHi again
Have you had the chance to try this?Annette_BParticipantAny other ideas?
Annette_BParticipantI tried both, leaving the 95000 tempo slider’s upmost and downmost positions and adjusting tempo via midi CC. Once I hit New Loop, tempo still goes back to lowest or highest (30 or 120bpm) as set with the 95000 tempo slider.
Annette_BParticipantOk thanks for the response – is this something that might be addressed in a future update? For now I don’t mind using the PLAY button option but it would be nice if this wasn’t a necessary workaround.
I’m using the original power supply.
Annette_BParticipantHi, thanks for getting back.
“ending new loop recording with Quantize enabled, the way the 95000 works is when you press either the PLAY or REC footswitch after the second beat of a bar, the 95000 continues to record to the end of the current bar. At the end of the bar it sets the loop length and either begins playback (when REC is pressed) or overdub (when PLAY is pressed) immediately. If you press either footswitch within the first two beats of a bar, the 95000 truncates the loop length to the end of the previous bar and immediately begins playback or overdub.”–> I’m aware of all of this. However, when I press REC after beat 2 to stop and set the loop length, the loop always ends with a few (perceivable) milliseconds of silence and it sounds like a hickup every time it loops back to 1. If I press PLAY to stop and set loop length (and yes, going on to record onto Track 2), I don’t get this problem.
“For the second issue, are you sending MIDI CC 27 values to the 95000 to set its tempo?”
–> Yes I am.
Annette_BParticipantHi, yes I’m on 1.14. Thanks, looking forward to learn what you’re finding out.
Annette_BParticipantThat’s the one I got, thanks!
Annette_BParticipantHi! It was in fact v.1.12! The update helped! Thank you.
Annette_BParticipantHi! Thanks for getting back! I’ll check on Tuesday when I’m back at the office.
