Superego looks like it could be really cool. It certainly appeals to the tweaker in me. I can only imagine the time I would spent trying out different things in that loop.

As for the wah, meh. I’ve owned several and find that I never use them. They are just not my thing. This one is a cool concept, but it looks like you couldn’t freeze it in one spot with out rocking it back and hitting the calibrate button at the same time. Kind of hard to do without a bunch of roadies. I have no roadies.

It occurred to me that I could get the same effect using the Ring Thing to tune down and a POG to change the attack. What do you think? What order should I put them in?

also, would you mind posting the tab for that, it was killer.

they could probably make some of this on a firmware update. And the preset thing…. all someone would have to do is rehouse it….

The last thing I am going to do as a consumer is spend all that money on this thing and then “rehouse” it.

Can you do a firmware update on a HOG? I don’t think there is a way to hook my POG 2 to a PC. Just 1/4 in/out and a 9 volt outlet. There is no USB port (on the Pog 2)

I’ve read, though cannot confirm that the POG2 has better tracking. It certainly has a more attractive enclosure and it would be nice if it (the HOG 2) could store presets without the need of a large additional pedal. I’ve read others say they’d like a detune slider and MIDI compatibility as well. It would really killer if the whole package could auto level the volume for each preset as well (though that may be asking for too much.)

Mostly, I want a HOG 2 because I want a HOG, but don’t want to spend that much money on a pedal that many people feel is do for an update.

Using my first post ever to bump this thread. I just got my first EHX pedal, a POG2. It is absolutely amazing. I would love to hear that a HOG 2 is just around the corner.
