All my equipment is at the studio and I can’t try it out until then.
I’m hoping I can use it, because my Germanium OD pedal is way too noisey for studio work, but man my little big muff has stepped up. The fuzz tone is incredible… Its like I haven’t heard it before.
I’m hoping to squeeze in some of the new germanium muff in this session.
nice! do let us know how it works out!
:rawk:
germaium od + big muff sounds so nice.August 9, 2010 at 7:59 pm in reply to: New Devices: Germanium^4 Big Muff &, .44 Magnum, Freeze, Neo Clone, & Headphone Amp #110804A-3POParticipantQuote:No matter how you want to look at it, these are all kick a$$ pedals. The Germanium is totally organic and it has total variability. The ability to stack 4 NKT 275 germanium chips is pretty amazing. The 44 Magnum not only has a nice power but when the drive is pushed to clip, the sound is really musical.
The NEO Clone sounds spot on to the original Small Clone.
The Freeze just gives smooth sonic options that allow you more freedom and creativity. You can continuously capture new transitions that take on their own life.
spot on
August 9, 2010 at 1:19 pm in reply to: New Devices: Germanium^4 Big Muff &, .44 Magnum, Freeze, Neo Clone, & Headphone Amp #110789A-3POParticipantooh i see. i have yet to see the circuit/ hear one in person 😥 so im going strictly off of speculation haha
August 9, 2010 at 3:46 am in reply to: New Devices: Germanium^4 Big Muff &, .44 Magnum, Freeze, Neo Clone, & Headphone Amp #110779A-3POParticipanti agree. everything thats called a big muff so far IS a big muff. everything else is either just “_____ muff” or something completely different. i dont think i make any sense

But the big question is whether it’s a Big Muff. . . which up until now has meant BIG MUFF. Nobody knows if it is a Big Muff or not yet. I think it could be a heavily modified one, but we’ll see.I’m with you. I’m guessing its a modified Big Muff. I dont think they would call it a Big Muff otherwise. I think I’ll end up getting one either way though
A-3POParticipanta Flanger Hoax would be the most uncomfortable piece of furniture ever :freak: I can totally dig the BIg Muff bean bag though!
A-3POParticipantI just got Black Keys tickets! Really excited/looking forward to seeing those guys play. Hopefully I’ll catch a glimpse of Dan Auerbach’s board.
A-3POParticipantQuote:i want a comp for sure black or white fingers???I just got a Soul Preacher and it’s great. I highly recomend it.
A-3POParticipantQuote:just wanted to throw $.02 in about the Dano FAB echo- easily moddable into a complete beast of a delay, and under $20 new.
I got mine modded by this guy: http://stargazerfx.blogspot.com/2010/04/stargazer-fx-modded-fab-echo-2.html
incidentally, the max delay time is now a grainy-swooshy-awesome 6.3 seconds.now i wish i still had mine
A-3POParticipantI went to see Jonsi recently. I had NO idea what I was in for. Pretty amazing to say the least… .

and what I hadn’t realised is that the fast mode can be pretty much identical to how a sustain pedal works on a piano.
which really makes me want one more.i liked the demos that peter stroud and dan miller did
A-3POParticipantcheck your local hardware store too!
A-3POParticipantyou could probably get one at a hardware store no problem.
