Hi,
I’ve posted a similar question to this when I was having a problem with my Little Big Muff (thanks to the administrators who answered my question in the other thread, btw).
I’ve been using Boss PS 9V adapters to power my Little Big Muff and one day the pedal just stopped working (cut the signal when I turned the pedal on but worked fine as a bypass when not on). Two employees at Guitar Center have told me that the MA output is too high on a boss adapter and I probably fried the panel. Two administrators on this forum said that wasn’t an issue as EHX pedals have some kind of surge protection thing. I plugged the pedal in (for the first time in about 5 months)after reading this and, lo and behold, my pedal mysteriously works fine again (still using a BOSS adapter). I’m reluctant to keep using this setup though until I know FOR SURE-
Is it okay to use my EHX pedals (in this case a Little Big Muff) with Boss 9V adapters?
Thanks.
Most, if not all, EH pedals that can use a 9v battery will work fine with a BOSS power supply.
I would suspect you may have a bad solder joint on the power jack of your LBM.
