The Epstein live at the Bremen festival.
True Widow
My last show was Mike Watt and the Missingmen.
Now I eagerly await Scratch Acid coming to Philly.
They were awesome.
Look forward to the good news!
An unidentified guitarist/singer from Lebanon in the Woodstock rock café in Bremen. He had five school books full of handwritten lyrics and chords covering about every acid-rock and country song recorded in the 60s and 70s. He also had some nifty technique on the guitar, a 70s Martin acoustic. After chatting with him over a coffee and a glass of water at three in the morning I discovered he was the proud owner of 32 guitars (acoustic & electric). He sang and played non-stop for three and a half hours with short breaks of about three seconds a time as he flipped through the pages to the next song. A human jukebox! And worth the listen. Yes, there is an acoustic world out there..
I saw George Clinton and P-Funk last month.Mike Hampton doing Maggot Brain blew my mind.
