March 9, 2010 at 3:38 pm #108307trebleMemberIndeed kit indeed, i may sooner or later make a litte film with it running through my ole musicman rd 50, might use my
epiphone crestwood deluxe and see what she sounds like with this.Ive already had a little test of her at around 2.00 am Australian time, thats where iam from, and she sounded ok so far, but not loud enough to tell, just wanted to see all worked the three pots work as well volume, tone, and sustain all are great the only one thing to note is the pots are real tight, can you believe ive not even sprayed these pots or the switch as yet and it all still works, i guess you got to get lucky sometimes, suprises me i never fixed this sooner.
I got some original dakka ware knobs for her too but dam they all fit really badly the pointers are all over the shop, all accept the tone knob thats the only one which points correctly.
March 9, 2010 at 4:00 pm #108309KitraeMemberThat’s normal, due to the orientation the pots were soldered to the board. Here is how you read them.

You may have to paste that complete url in your browser. The forum does not recognize the spaces.

March 9, 2010 at 4:38 pm #108312trebleMemberohh i pasted your url in my browser and got the page but still looking for what you were refering to kit
March 9, 2010 at 4:49 pm #108313trebleMemberkit so far i like the ver 1 triangle muff and ver 3 best id say if a person could get a perfect one of the both of those muffs then you would be pretty happy indeed
the version 2 did not grab me though
I like how you have demonstrated them all you have done an awesome job a good triangle muffs sustain is to die for its just when you move your fingers up and down the fret board it has a slight mechanical squark souund like somethings a miss and then you get that great sustain once more as you stay still and hold and warble the note it seems to move between these two sounds from what i hear
March 9, 2010 at 4:51 pm #108314KitraeMemberIt’s just a .jpg showing the zero mark for the pots, nothing special. I just copied and pasted the url and it’s working fine. You have to paste the whole url, not just what the forum shows in blue. I wish they would fix that.
March 9, 2010 at 5:16 pm #108315trebleMemberKit this is how all my knobs are when the pots are all at zero volume is at 5pm tone is at 7pm and sustain is at 10am
March 9, 2010 at 5:20 pm #108316trebleMemberKit my dakka ware knobs have little brass screws in the side of them and white lines on the top of the hats they look earlier then the standard ver 3 knobs
March 9, 2010 at 5:41 pm #108319KitraeMemberThose sound like replacement Daka-ware knobs from Davies. The originals did not have white in the indicator line, or the brass screw, but the current ones do.
