    Harmony central forums are good.
    I also use Talkbass
    Craigslist
Also, any sort of local musicians classifieds youhave

Ooo the trading in harmony central looks appealing, but how does that work? Do people just trust each other to send the pedal when doing a trade…or what?

Yup. Normally you both just ship it out, and trust one another to provide a tracking number or something like that. If you’re doing a trade+cash, or the person really really wants your pedal, you can say that you have to have the cash before you ship, or you want to check their pedal before you ship. The risk of losing status in the community is what helps people stay honest. Never trust anyone without a history there either.

I think occasionally there could be a lot of good deals to be had at car boot sales/yard sales/garage sales/whatever they are called where you live.

I managed to get a late ’60s/early ’70s Italian made “JEN Elettronica Mister Crybaby Super” which i’d guess is a version of the original thing that the dunlop “original crybaby” reissue is based on. Never found any EHX though, unfortunately.

Well I know several of us here use HC, so you can make references to them. It never hurts to try. I personally try to never make a deal with a user with no history though

Ebay and Craigslist probably have used pedals for a cheap price.

I think eBay is still the best place to buy, just not the best place to sell. The eBay listing fees and PayPal fees are nauseating.

totally agree, ebay is pretty bad for the small seller now…it’s a great place to pick up bargains though.

I’ve never been able to get pedals on ebay at the prices I can get on forums.

eBay is the place I’ve scored all my vintage effects and it seems like the best place to buy to me.

Yeah, to be honest I’ve gotten all but two of my EHX pedals off of eBay…for cheap.

forget auctions, you need to keep an eye on the newly listed BIN effects.
