January 26, 2009 at 4:26 am #91880McHavenModeratorHarmony central forums are good.
I also use Talkbass
Craigslist
Also, any sort of local musicians classifieds youhaveJanuary 26, 2009 at 5:32 am #91882JordanLikesToRockMemberOoo the trading in harmony central looks appealing, but how does that work? Do people just trust each other to send the pedal when doing a trade…or what?

Do people just trust each other to send the pedal when doing a trade…or what?Yup. Normally you both just ship it out, and trust one another to provide a tracking number or something like that. If you’re doing a trade+cash, or the person really really wants your pedal, you can say that you have to have the cash before you ship, or you want to check their pedal before you ship. The risk of losing status in the community is what helps people stay honest. Never trust anyone without a history there either.

January 26, 2009 at 12:40 pm #91894Dr. MattModeratorI think occasionally there could be a lot of good deals to be had at car boot sales/yard sales/garage sales/whatever they are called where you live.
I managed to get a late ’60s/early ’70s Italian made “JEN Elettronica Mister Crybaby Super” which i’d guess is a version of the original thing that the dunlop “original crybaby” reissue is based on. Never found any EHX though, unfortunately.

January 26, 2009 at 3:44 pm #91912BlueSteelParticipantEbay and Craigslist probably have used pedals for a cheap price.
January 26, 2009 at 3:54 pm #91915Fender&EHX4everModeratorI think eBay is still the best place to buy, just not the best place to sell. The eBay listing fees and PayPal fees are nauseating.

January 27, 2009 at 2:50 am #91617JordanLikesToRockMemberI’ve been looking and EHX pedals dont seem like they have been going that cheap on ebay lately.
January 27, 2009 at 3:01 am #91620McHavenModeratorI’ve never been able to get pedals on ebay at the prices I can get on forums.

February 12, 2009 at 1:41 am #93139JRigglesMemberYeah, to be honest I’ve gotten all but two of my EHX pedals off of eBay…for cheap.
