Home › Forums › Ideas / Suggestions / Feedback › When are you bringing out a ’Strings’ pedal as in Orchestra Strings
Hi Guys, First of all I admire all your stuff and its brilliant. I have looked at all the 9 series pedals and you are so close its killing me. The sound I want is slow strings, orchestra strings. Just imagine playing an acoustic guitar slowly and hearing moody strings in the background. You could have a variety of different string types on it if you wish, but low slow strings like you would hear on a keyboard is what I am after. This would be the ultimate pedal and would sell thousands. At moment I have to use a Roland GK3 midi pickup and a Roland GR20. Yours would be so much simpler. Have you got this in future plans? Please put me out of my misery and reply soon.
If you look at this video, its what this guy is doing just for the first 2 minutes. Would be ultimate pedal.
Have you tried the Mel9 and Synth9? I love both of them – even both layered together. You can add chorus and delays and reverb to make them more lush. I also find them to be voiced fairly low and dark – but if you add a POG or a Pitchfork you can get higher strings – and octave or two up. See the thread about a Super 9 …. I think EHX have the technology to pull of something amazing.
There is the Boss SY300 which is very programable. But in my opinion, EHX ihas the best sounding putchshifting technology, and the SY300 is a bit artifacty-y sounding for my taste.
