September 12, 2009 at 4:25 am #101394ghostMemberQuote:I’d suggest:Funkadelic, “Maggot Brain”
Sly & Family Stone, “There’s a Riot Going on”
Maggot Brain is one of my favorite tunes to play in bars with a digital jukebox! Usually gets shut off by the bar tender at some point…
T A Riot Going On is some of the best/most F**’d production you’ll ever hear in funk! Druggy Attic Funk!
I’d also recommend Curtis/Curtis absolutely essential funk/soul. Oh jesus… And Hot Buttered Soul! Best opening tune ever! Although you need to get that one on LP, as the CD master destroys the fuzz and string dynamics. (actually a good example of a really bad mastering job!)
