Can we get a definitive answer from someone at the company? Inquiring minds want to know.
I say neither. It’s neither a Ram or a Lamb or any 4 hoofed mammal.
It’s an elf or wood sprite or something similarly mythological. Remember, it was the 60’s.
I understand that it’s not actually either one. I’ve just always heard it called one or the other, and was seeing if there’s a consensus on which it is.

I call it Ram’s Head when talking about the Muff variation, but acknowledge it isn’t really a RAM
I’ve always called it a rams head even though i don’t think it’s a ram because it doesn’t really look like one because it doesn’t have any horns
