Hi,
I’m asking what kind of pedal I could use to emulate the first seconds of this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIJUaQ7yH1w
Thanks!
You’ll need some type of synthy oscillator. Here’s an interesting looking thing:

Also, one thing I’ve experimented with is a sharp square-wave tremolo into my Noise Box, that’s a fun duo.
Good luck!

This is really interesting.
What kind of tremolo have you? and is your Noise Box from Subdecay?
I have the Voodoo Labs tremolo, which I like a lot.
Lately, though, I’ve been using “The Wiggler” the tube-based EHX one. Needing its own wall-wart is an obvious drawback, but it sounds really warm and amp-like.
And, yeah, the Noise Box is SubDecay, one of the weirdest pedals I’ve ever come across, but surprisingly flexible for what it is.
hey fantomenos,
I’m very confused, there are so many pedals and I don’t know what to buy.
I’m curios to hear a sample of your sound, just a few seconds of different settings.
Sure, here you go. This is my fretless bass into The Wiggler, into the Noise Box. It’s one-take, live dry recording, I haven’t post-processed at all.
At about 0:45 I start messing with the freq know on the Noise Box, then the voicing knob. Around 1:20 I turn the rate knob on Thwe Wiggler, and things get really crazy. Enjoy!
really good!
