I’ve recently been looking into vintage EH pedals, and came across the Ambitron, but I can’t seem to find any information on what it does exactly. Any sort of info would be well appreciated. Thank you.
i may be wrong, but if i remember right, it would convert mono audio signal into a simulated stereo signal for record players, radios, ect….
it was more of a piece of stereo equipment than musical audio equipment.
There are actually 2 versions: one for home stereo use and one for guitar use. They used a small amount of delay to simulate stereo from a mono signal.
isn’t the ambitron an old version of the poly-chorus?

No, you’re thinking of the Echoflanger.

oh ok, i thought i read it in an article on your blog saying that it was almost the same circuit. so the ambitron is only a very short delay without modulation. actually i remember buying the scematics of the stereo version on your website, maybe it’s time to study the circuit a little further!
I’ve wondered if the new Analogizer is in any way a descendent of the Ambitron.
