Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › What adapter to use on Superego? Can I use Boss?
Sorry if there’s another post about this, but I couldn’t find anything about this specific pedal. I know the instructions say it’s okay to use a Boss adapter, but for some reason when I used it, all my pedals would flicker on and off, or go out. And then the Boss adapter would blink. I don’t know if it’s the cable, or their connections, or if it might be the Superego. So I would like some specific info if anyone can help. Also, some pedal adapter 101 would be appreciated, in simple terms.
I have a Boss PSA-120s and I’m using a Roland daisy chain. So my tuner pedal gets the power supply, and then I daisy chain to power four other Boss pedals from the tuner. I really wanted to keep things simple and add the Superego to this chain. But I still have the stock Superego power supply.
EHX adapter specs
Input- 120v, 60Hz, 150mA
Output- 9.6V, 200mA
Boss adapter specs
Input- 100-240v, 50-60Hz, 250mA
Output- 9v, 500mA, 4.5w
it will work just fine!
The SuperEgo requires 140mA of current to operate so as long as your other pedals and tuner draw 110mA or less total you’ll be fine.
