Would love to see a rocker-style expression pedal, like a standard wah, that has 2 functions. One function would be to act as a wah, and the other function would be to mimic the effect of a tremolo bar. With a small foot switch to the side of the pedal (like on the Morley Bad Horsie 2 wah) you could toggle between the 2 effects. On the wah function: Your standard Vox/Dunlop style wah. On the pitch function: the range of the rocker pedal is the same as a Floyd Rose style tremolo, with the heel position as pitch, and the toe position as ‘dive-bomb’.
I’m already trying the tremolo style function, using the Ring Thing and an expression pedal. It’s working OK, but the clutter is dreadful. 2 pedals (ring thing and expression), their cables, and a power supply adapter is a mess. It would be great as one pedal with a 9volt battery. Clean.
I use a modeling amp, and all the other effects i might use (chorus, flange, compressor, delay, rotary speaker, ring modulator, distortion and reverb) are all housed in the amp. The only 2 that necessarily stand outside the amp are wah and tremolo bar.
I know this will never happen, but I might as well throw it out there.
digitech used to make a whammy wah, you can pick one up on ebay for around 200 bucks
