I use an interesting setup to archive some play synth like tones and would think that a single pedal would be possible, here is my setup
Here is my 2 channel setup
1 Superego out to a pog2 or hog (I have both) into the guitar channel of a voicebox.
2 superego dry into a pog2 or hog into the voice channel of the voicebox.
Both channels then feed into a line 6 m13 for delays and mod back out to 2 amps.
This allows me to do several interesting things.
1) harmonies based off the frozen chord of the super ego, no preset key ala other harmonizer pedals.
2) whistle mode on top of a frozen pad.
3) vocoder over the frozen pad.
This setup is interesting but has a few major flaws.
1) sound quality thru the voice channel of the vioce box is sucky maybe it’s the adapters I use but the voice of is not designed for guitar
2) I wish there was a mode on the superego that allowed the dry signal to be routed thru the effects loop when the pedal is of akin to a a/b switch.
So to get to the point here is my dream pedal
A pog2 like box with (or without) a superego frontend that has 2 routings,
one channel is the frozen pog channel that has these new and exciting features
1) 3 sliders, but with programable tones, eg square wave, saw, sin…
2) each slider is assignable for example oct1, oct2, 3rd, etc.
The second channel is a “voicebox” channel, I’d love to see whistle, vocoder, harmonies, and a bonus micro synth tone generator.
Think about the possibilities of a pedal like this, you could change key for harmonies on the fly, a basically be a guitar, and huge poly synth at once.
