First of all congratulations! It seems really nice! How much did it cost in czk/euro? I use only George Dennis guitar picks, i always buy a supply when I am in Prague to last me some time
a few years before when it was new, it cost app. 25000 czk, that’s like 1000 euros today. Now after the years it cost me 9000czk, thats not even 350 euros… with all those upgrades (the tubes, the speaker) it’s awesome
why? because even though it’s czech amp, we czechs don’t trust it and we probably don’t know how cool it is… and it’s hard to sell where noone wants to buy
(GD also manufacture some pedals and they’re not very popular)
Yeah, i know about the pedals although i never had a chance to try any. I like that they are housed in expression pedals, that’s nice. Did you try any? I am always too shy to ask to try them in a shop, especially since i don’t speak Czech
Also, i know about that “if it is built in our country it must be crap, only USA is good enough” and it is silly! Still, good for you, otherwise you might have paid a lot more for it
yeah, exactly that’s the stupid philosophy
this particular amp isn’t even made anymore, they’ve come with “mark II” and that’s currently sold somewhere around 20 000czk (750 euros approximately)
but yeah… it was a good deal
I will take this opportunity to tell you: you would better not miss the concert by Swans in Prague in December!!! I’ve already got my tickets!!!
Yeah, congrats mate.
Time to post a demo I think?
yeah… and i’ll post it… when i’ll have the time for it
i’ll probably post a few demos… but give me more time, i have a lot happening in school right now, tomorrow i’m going on a date… but i’ll make it!
